Greetings. This is Pastor David Bass at New Geneva Orthodox Presbyterian Church with a moment of truth where we challenge you to think through an important issue of life and faith. And today, what are the spiritual results of this past presidential election? Politics, schmolitics. I want to get to what's important really through eternity's eyes.

And if we're going to do that, we have to ask, what are the spiritual results of this past election for the United States of America? What is the spiritual profile of the United States after this election? Even larger, who is the spiritual prince, the angelic ruler, the king over this nation? So make no mistake about this, dear listener, there is a longstanding, ongoing warfare in the heavenlies over not just individual souls, but also over nations and peoples. The Bible has made this clear from the very early pages.

It is not a new phenomenon in our day, although it is news to many Christians who are oblivious to the collective nature of our salvation and the character of nations as they stand before God. God will judge the nations before his great eternal tribunal. He won't judge just individuals. God blesses and curses nations too, depending upon their righteousness and their treatment of God's people. In fact, part of your judgment, listener, as an individual, will be your comportment in the nation of your pilgrimage.

So many Christians are ignorant of this important element of the last day. God creates and disposes of the nations according to his will and his timing, and none of this should be new or unfamiliar to the Christian, especially the Christians of the United States of America. But it is to so many. There is, for example, a national spiritual profile of the United States, even as there was for ancient Egypt.

When the God of Israel, Yahweh, delivered his people Israel from bondage in Egypt, he did not set them at liberty from a nation that had physically enslaved them only, but he also set them free from the spiritual bondage that the gods of Egypt imposed. And nowhere is this more graphically portrayed than in the 10 plagues that God visited upon Egypt. Each plague represented one of the gods of Egypt that held spiritual dominion over the people of that region. We can see the plague of the flies, for example, and of this, of course, represented the god Beelzebub, lord of the flies.

Yahweh was in pitch battle with each of these 10 gods, defeating them all in turn. And it's important to remember that the very last plague, the death of the firstborn, was the final supreme plague, if you will, the supreme plague, since Pharaoh himself was seen to be the ruling deity of Egypt. Since the spirit of Ra transmigrated to the body of the firstborn upon the Pharaoh's death, the death of the Pharaoh's firstborn would be the ultimate defeat. The line of gods would end, and it would mean the triumph of Yahweh. His superiority and supremacy would be unquestioned.

There is not only a national spiritual profile of Egypt, but there is also a spiritual profile of the United States, even as there was a spiritual profile, spiritual reality behind the Canaanite nations that surrounded Israel. The god who held dominion over a people and nation was identified by name and by his or her particular slant and how they were to be worshiped. The god of Moab, for example, one of the great nephews. Moab was one of the great nephews of Abraham. He was thus related to Israel, but became an implacable enemy of Israel.

And this nation of Moab, you might have thought, would be Yahweh worshipers, since Moab was a great nephew of Abraham. But no, in the course of redemptive history, Moab apostatized and gave herself over to Chemosh, a war and fertility god, which the Bible calls the detestable god of Moab. It was detestable because one of Chemosh's requirements was human sacrifice at a fire altar. It is too gruesome to describe in great detail here, but suffice it to say that it is as detestable as any Luciferian ritual that John Podesta or Hillary Clinton might perform today.

And in return, Chemosh gave his followers sun and rain for their crops and victory in battle so they could live in peace in the land of Moab. We know this not only from archaeology, which we've been studying in our Wednesday night Bible study, and we have looked at the Moabite stone, which reveals much of this to us, but we also know it from the Bible. For example, when Jephthah confronted Moab before fighting and defeating her in battle over the land Moab wanted to seize from Israel, Jephthah exhorted her to be content with what she already had.

From Judges chapter 11, he says, will you not possess what Chemosh, your God, gives you to possess? And all that the Lord our God has dispossessed before us, we will possess, unquote. So you see the clear dominion which Chemosh exercised over Moab is but one example of the general principle that all nations have a corresponding prince or angel or spirit, if you will, in dominion over them. It is not a question of if, dear listener, but a question of whom. Now, God judged Israel precisely because she transferred loyalty from himself to the prince slash angel slash spirit of the nations around her.

And I cite 1 Kings chapter 11, where God says, because they have forsaken me and worshiped Ashtoreth, the goddess of the Sidonians, Chemosh, the god of Moab, and Milcom, the god of the Ammonites, and they have not walked in my ways, doing what is right in my sight, and keeping my statutes and my rules as David his father did, unquote. God judged Israel because of this. God judges nations for abandoning the covenant made with him so that they might seek after other gods. He will judge us too if we abandon him.

Well, there is a national spiritual profile of the United States, even as there was for the nation of Persia, our next example from the Bible. In Daniel 10, the prophet Daniel is said to have received a word from God of which he says the word was true and it was a great conflict. Why was that word a great conflict? Because the being who brought Daniel that word had to fight another being who resisted him for 21 days. And that being that brought Daniel that word was a fearful, glorious angel who struck terror into Daniel's heart when he first confronted him.

This angel then explains why Daniel was praying for so long without an answer, apparently, and why it took so long for him to arrive. And he says, fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and humbled yourself before your God, your words have been heard, and I have come because of your words. The prince of the kingdom of Persia, he says, the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me 21 days. But Michael, one of the chief princes came to help me for I was left there with the kings of Persia and came to make you understand what is to happen to your people in the latter days. Unquote.

Do you see what happens in the heavenly realms on behalf of the nations? The veil is pulled back slightly for Daniel and we see some of the actions taking place. There was a prince of Persia. That is a prince or angel or spirit who held dominion over the nation of Persia. And he was in opposition to Daniel and his God, the Yahweh of Israel.

He also had power to resist this prince of Persia, to resist the forces of good such that the messenger was delayed, though not altogether stopped. But notice as well, there was a prince who came to the messenger's aid. That is Michael, one of the chief princes, a guardian prince of the people of God. And by him, the messenger was helped such that he was able to make it to Daniel. Who knows, without Michael, the archangel, the fight might still be going on.

Well, the messenger gave him a foretaste of the warfare in the heavenly realms on behalf of the nations. He says, but now I will return to fight against the prince of Persia. And when I go out, behold, the prince of Greece will come. But I will tell you what is inscribed in the book of truth. There is none who contends by my side, except these, Michael, your prince.

Oh, these are not just truths and realities for olden times in the Bible or myths that superstitious ancients had. All through history, prince, angel, spirits have led cities and nations having dominion, dictating worship, shaping the welfare of their minions. And nowhere is this more evident to us than in the book of Ephesians, where the apostle Paul, fully aware of the panoply of angels and spirits ranging over the nations, even as they range over the United States of America in the heavenlies, counsels the Ephesians, Paul does, on the superiority of Christ over them all.

And Paul talks about the immeasurable greatness of God's power towards us who believe, according to the working of his great might, that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come. Unquote. Christ is superior in the heavenlies. And what most people do not realize is that Paul names the whole order of spiritual powers by title too. Spiritual entities that were used by pagan priests and priestesses in their incantations.

We have this very same order of spiritual powers listed in the textbook for pagan magic of Paul's days, and that is the papyri of Greek magic. Now the Greek names for these powers are listed by Paul in chapter 121. They are arachis, exousias, dunameos, and kuristetos. If you were to pronounce these names in your magic incantations as a practitioner of magic in Ephesus, you would expect then these spiritual powers, in order of importance and power, to come to your aid and minister to your requests. The papyri of Greek magic is the textbook for the manipulation of these spiritual powers on the magician's behalf.

In fact, these names and titles appear in contemporary magic and pagan and Luciferian rites taken directly from the papyri of Greek magic. Who knows but that the rumored magic rites practiced by Hillary Clinton and her political campaign chief John Podesta would include these very titles of spiritual entities invoked in various ceremonies. In fact, the queen of these spiritual forces, Artemis, was the patron goddess of Ephesus, or Diana, as she was known in her Egyptian iteration. She was queen over these, Artemis slash Diana.

Acts chapter 19 says, men of Ephesus, who is there who does not know, said the silversmith, write, that the city of the Ephesians is temple keeper of the great Artemis and of the sacred stone that fell from the sky, unquote. This is why Paul was so intent and particular in his exhortation for us to finally, as he says in chapter 6 of Ephesians, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might, put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

All protests to the contrary by practitioners of these dark arts and magic, Paul names the ultimate power behind these spiritual forces, and that is the devil. He is the prince of the power of the air. As Paul also calls him in Ephesians, but this too was a very specific title used in magical incantations with which the Ephesians would have been familiar. It denominates his general dominion over the nations of the world, even as he indicated to Jesus in his temptation of Jesus in the wilderness.

You remember the devil took him up, that is Christ, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time and said to him, to you, I will give all this authority and their glory for it has been delivered to me and I give it to whom I will. If you then will worship me, it will all be yours. This is why there are so many Luciferians in high places of human government. You see that there are spiritual forces over the kingdoms, that is the nations of the world. This has not changed for secular atheistic moderns either.

Satan still offers the same deal to men that he offered to Jesus. It's been delivered to me and I give it to whom I will. If you then will worship me, it will all be yours. Oh, the siren song of the devil that so many politicians have fallen for. And the devil has delegated his authority to the powers below him, some of which are revealed by title here in Ephesians, by Paul, in order that he might assert strongly and continually that it is Christ seated at God's right hand, who is, as he says, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and above every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come.

Therefore, we must ask again, who is Lord of this nation? What forces in the heavenly realms were in pitch battle this past election season? Or do you think there was none? Well, we know from the WikiLeak emails released by Julian Assange that at the very least, Hillary Clinton's campaign manager, John Podesta, was involved along with his brother, Tony Podesta, in weird ritualistic scenes in spirit cooking dinners, as they're called. Spirit cooking dinners with Luciferian artist Marina Abramovic, who is a trendy performance slash ritual slash body fluid artist.

Don't ask me any more about that. She's a popular trendy Luciferian artist, popular in Hollywood and Washington DC these days. Is Hillary involved in these same dark rituals? Now, Julian Assange has cryptically referred to emails yet to be released that perhaps implicate her in these very things. Well, another former close aide and confidant of the Clintons from their Arkansas years is the former henchman and dirty trickster Larry Nichols.

Today, Larry Nichols is dying of cancer and is quite repentant of his past associations, however. And he had done these deeds, these evil and wicked deeds to protect and elect Bill to office and Hillary to the political limelight. He now does everything he can to expose them for the crooked frauds that they are. And part of that exposure is his experience with Hillary traveling out to California once a month to attend what Bill told him then was her witch's church, Hillary's witch's church. In other words, Hillary was a member of a witch's coven, according to Mr. Nichols.

She has consistently recoiled from speaking of God and Christ like vampires recoil from the cross in its shadow. Those close to her, including former Secret Service agents, tell of her bizarre behavior, which includes fits and tantrums like a demon, as one Secret Service agent put it. She hisses, spits, claws bites, curses more blasphemously than a legion of demons from hell, according to him. Well, perhaps these are but sensational rumors concocted by political opponents, and you can check them out yourself. But regardless of their veracity, we must admit that the political agenda and platform of Hillary Clinton is evil, if nothing else.

Abortion on demand is still her touchstone of acceptability, and the promotion of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered agenda is still sacrosanct, even though it destroys the biblical family, an evil goal professed by the Communist Manifesto. Her tolerance of radical Islam, with a concomitant intolerance of Christianity, displays an evil hypocrisy. Her blind faith in global warming as a cynical scheme to cripple and impoverish the industrial nations, including the United States, is evil on its face.

And the gradual surrender of the United States' sovereignty to world courts, world economic treaties like the Trans-Pacific Partnership, and world government like the United Nations is cynically evil, especially because we're lied to about it as it's to its true nature and consequence. Well, many more features of the progressive agenda and platform could be laid out before you to show its manifest evil. But that would take more time than we can devote to it here.

But suffice it to say that even if Hillary Clinton were a perfect punctilious Presbyterian, couldn't get much better than that, even if she were a perfect punctilious Presbyterian, her adoption of the Democrat platform would be woefully bad, woefully evil enough. So I am tireless then in reminding you that indeed our battle as Americans and as Christians is first a spiritual battle. So we need to stop fighting as if it is only a political battle. Can you not see yet that there is a panoply of archaes, exousias, dunameos, and kuristetos arrayed against us in the heavenlies, even as there was against Israel with Babylon and Persia and Greece?

Where is your mind, your heart, and your spirit in this fight, dear listener? We must be called to this. Nobody's calling for this in the political arena, but we must indeed remember that as Exhibit A, we must know that it is a spiritual fight. The old political categories no longer apply. The old distinction between Democrat and Republican, between liberal and conservative, no longer applies.

Establishment Republicans, I submit to you, are as spiritually evil and corrupt as the most progressive Democrat. In fact, perhaps more so since they mask themselves as constitutional conservatives. Instead, as Peter Schweitzer points out in his excellent book, Extortion, for example, establishment Republicans are as dependent upon the system, as dependent upon the revolving door between the public government and private corporate world as our establishment Democrats. And they do this to advance a self-serving world system that enriches them, that enriches its own cronies at the expense of the American people.

In fact, they predate, they feed on the body politic of the American people to their own benefit. Men like John McCain and Lindsey Graham and Jeb Bush are only the most obvious, decadent, animated vampires of the Republican establishment. They suck on us. They serve themselves and not the people. Have you examined, for that matter, the entire Idaho delegation recently?

Oh, sleeper. Idaho sleeper. What have they done, our Idaho delegation to Washington, D.C.? What have they done to stop Obama or advance reform or help the constitutional revolution in this last election cycle? Nothing.

They all eschewed the nominee and his platform, and they all offer as an explanation for their failures, excuses for not exercising their power, like the power of the purse, when they indeed could have shut down Obama at so many courses by turning off the spigot of money. Instead, they, with Ryan, approved the budget. Exhort them, our Idaho delegation. Exhort them, dear listener. Write them.

Speak to them in public forums. Tell others to do so. And most of all, we must as well pray for our Idaho delegation. Pray for our men and women in government. Even as Paul exhorts us, as he exhorted Timothy, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.

Oh, dear listener, it is time for awareness to be made, that we are locked in a spiritual battle, not just a political, social, and cultural battle. As long as we ignore the big dog, we will be chasing tails, all of our political, cultural, and social lives, because the spiritual dog is wagging that tail. Indeed, it is time for us to be aware of these things. Our case, exousias, dunameos, and kuristetos are at work even as we speak, influencing the hearts, minds, and spirits of not only those in the halls of national power, but also in our state houses, our city, county, and local townhouses.

In fact, dear listener, the spiritual battle gets right down to your own individual heart, mind, and spirit, to the individuals within nations. For example, how could the Ephesians cry with hypnotic passion? Great is Artemis of the Ephesians for two hours in their stadium, unless shaped by Artemis, you remember from the book of Acts. And how could the priests of Baal dance and wail and mutilate themselves all morning, trying to invoke his power before all Israel, unless indeed individual Israelites had given themselves over to Baal? You remember this story from the book of Kings, and the prophet Elijah, who alone faced them.

And how could Israel have overcome Jericho for that matter? How could Israel have overcome Jericho and her high walls, and do it with trumpets and shouts, unless every individual Israelite had dedicated themselves to Yahweh of Israel first, huh? In fact, the book of Joshua, much of it is taken up with this process, a complete dedication, the preparation and dedication of Israel for this battle. So may I remind you again of our founding fathers' awareness of and dedication to the God of the Bible. They understood that over the nations of the world, there were indeed powers and spirits and lords of nations.

They understood the hand of God in the formation of this country. George Washington said, I am sure there never was a people who had more reason to acknowledge a divine interposition in their affairs than those of the United States. And I should be pained, Washington goes on to say, and I should be pained to believe that they have forgotten that agency which was so often manifest during our revolution, or that they failed to consider the omnipotence of that God who is alone able to protect them, unquote. Washington and the founding fathers.

I just used that as one example because all of the founding fathers understood that agency, protecting agency over the United States of America. It was indeed the God of the Bible. Have we forgotten that agency, the almighty God of the Bible? I hope and pray not. Perhaps the results of this most recent election, those results are indeed a hopeful sign.

I think it might be not to recommend a candidate or a party. I certainly am not doing that, but I am hopeful for the agenda that was laid out. And I'm hopeful for the man and the men who made it happen. Now, this in no way indicates to me, however, that Donald Trump is some sort of Messiah or deliverer or Washington or founding father in any way, shape or form. I'm not comparing him to any of these.

Far from it. In fact, if you remember my open letter to Donald Trump, I wrote an open letter to him and to Hillary Clinton as well before the election. And if you remember that open letter to him, you will recall my appeal to him. And I still appeal to you, Donald Trump, to repent of your sin, to repent of your former life. I don't believe in any way, shape or form you have done this and do this and then come to new life in Jesus Christ.

You will then need that spiritual life, Donald Trump. You will need the spiritual life and the spiritual strength for the coming battle that can only come from God. If the hand of divine providence is again to steer our destiny, then we must all be committed to him and to Christ. We must all labor and work for good and pray as well with all of our might. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, as Paul says.

We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Unquote from the Apostle Paul. And so, my appeal to all Americans in this post-election season is this, return to Christ. Return to the God of our founding fathers. Return to Christ and appeal to him to shepherd and to heal and to bless the United States of America.

For it is indeed Christ and Christ alone who is superior to all spiritual forces arrayed in heavenlies, in battle, pitch battle even now. And in this Christ, raised from the dead by the Father, seated at his right hand, is, as Paul says, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and above every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come. Unquote. So, dear listener, come to this Christ today. If you have not already, if you have already, then return to him and pray indeed that he will not only shepherd, shepherd, heal, and bless you, but also shepherd, heal, and bless the United States of America.
