Greetings. This is Pastor David Bass at New Geneva Orthodox Presbyterian Church with a moment of truth, where we challenge you to think through an important issue of life and faith. And today, will the inertia of evil overtake this new administration, or will it be able to stop it with the necessary help of we, the people, too, for that matter? The inertia of evil. What is the inertia of evil?

Well, inertia. First of all, the law of inertia. A body at rest tends to remain at rest unless acted upon by an outside force, and a body in motion tends to stay in motion unless acted upon by an outside force. And the obscene, gargantuan leviathan of the federal government has been in motion since the early 20th century in warp drive, we might say, and has been gathering momentum over the decades like a garbage snowball rolling downhill, gaining more and more mass with nothing from the outside acting to alter or stop it.

Now, with every new department and agency created by the federal government, like the Department of Education, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Homeland Security, and on and on we could go, we get thousands of pages of new regulations, tens of thousands of new bureaucrats and agents, and millions, yay, billions of dollars of our money thrown at it. Additionally, once government starts, it never stops. This is a rule of thumb, isn't it? Once government starts, it never stops. And once the American taxpayer blinks, going toe-to-toe with the government, well, then government never shrinks when the taxpayer blinks.

It only bloats. Like the gangster Rocky when he was asked, what is it he wants out of his life of crime? His eyes sparkle, and he says, more, more. Yes, your bloated, gorged, corpulent, federal tick feeding off the body politic only wants more. More money, more access, more bureaucrats, more authority, more power.

Now, what is metastasized from this cancer of the federal government is what some call a fourth branch of government. That is a permanent bureaucracy that stays when elected officials come and go. Now, let's just say you are an elected congressman. You want to eliminate the Department of Education, as Ronald Reagan fully intended to do. And while you are there, you propose legislation, you make speeches, you lobby your fellow congressmen.

Yet when you leave Washington, D.C., when your term is completed, the Department of Education is not only still there, it's even bigger than when you first arrived, and that was the case with Ronald Reagan. It happens because of the inertia of evil. The inertia of evil. That is, the momentum of a bureaucracy already in motion being greater than the outside force acting upon it. This is the dilemma that we face.

I call the federal leviathan steamrolling. We, the people, I call it the inertia of evil. Now, certainly, everyone can admit that it's full of inertia, whatever else we may see about it, whether it's evil or good. It is a thing in motion, and it's tending to stay in motion. But is it evil?

Might this not be a bit of hyperbole, dear pastor? And I would say, no, certainly not. While being sold as a bill of goods, that government is good. It loves you. It only wants to serve you.

Yes, your government wants to serve you. Well done, medium or rare, is how they want to serve you. Your federal system now represents three things that are evil. First of all, your federal government is the leviathan, the beast of revelation, if I may put it that way. This is a point beyond question for me, as a student of the Bible, how this beast, how the leviathan hates Christians and the Bible and anything sacred.

Now, as I have documented in past lectures, I refer you to our website, omnispotestas.org. All of the biblical writers meant that the beast would be a metaphorical sense, a way to represent tyrannies of the day, not some far-off future antichrist. No. The serpent in the garden was indeed a beast. It was a leviathan.

Rahab in the sea was Egypt. It was a beast. It was the sea serpent. Leviathan on land as Babylon was the beast. The beast from the sea in Revelation was Rome.

Every generation has its beast, its prophet, and its antichrist. The point is that this evil, demonstrating evil, demonstrable evil, it demonstrates devilish traits. It's four main qualities the beast demonstrates, which is Satan, that is adversary. Satan means adversary, and there is an adversarial relationship between the beast and the church. Is there not?

The beast is also a liar, even as our government lies. You can keep your health care. You can keep your doctor. It will bring down your premiums by $2,500. Those were all lies, were they not?

The beast is also a murderer, and the beast is also the accuser, attempting to make you feel guilty because you don't openly receive and embrace the panoply, the ever-changing numbers of gender choices out there. Well, we must also say that the deep state, not only is your federal government the Leviathan, the evil Leviathan or beast, but it is also a deep state, which is the definition of the inertia of evil. The deep state, a relatively new term for us, is nevertheless the definition of the inertia of evil.

One of the consequences of evil, excuse me, one of the consequences of the huge, overbearing federal system is that it builds secret, subversive structures that escape the scrutiny of we, the people. It is a corollary of the perpetual motion machine, the federal bureaucracy. The deep state implies a shadow government, doesn't it, that literally undermines the shallow state, if we could put it that way. That is the government on the surface, that which appears to govern. Congress appears to have oversight, while bureaus actually have oversight over Congress, telling them what to do.

Congress appears to oversee intelligence agencies, for example, while in reality, they oversee and, yea, even threaten the other branches. Agencies, like rogue elephants, pursue their own agendas, often contrary to the interests of the people. In fact, the CIA was labeled by President Eisenhower, when he left office, as a legacy of ashes. Its heritage was a legacy of ashes. Well, the inertia of evil is also a characteristic of the federal leviathan, because it is constitution-killing.

The inertia of evil, of the beast, of the leviathan of the federal government, is the inertia of evil, because it is constitution-killing. The pursuit of the federal government's agendas is evil, because it undermines the constitution. It is deliberate, too, deliberately undermining the constitution. We cannot be integrated into a world economy. We know this from Agenda 21, that all nations will be integrated into a world economy.

But we can't have that done when we, the United States of America, sit astride the world's largest and most resilient and most individualistic economy on the face of the earth, and that is the American capitalist system. Much of the rest of the world, excuse me, much of the rest of the world's economy is socialist.

I have compared for you before the three C's of America, that is Christ for her spiritual life, constitution for her political life, and capitalism for her economic life, and it's an utter stark contrast to what is presently in place, and that is secularism as the spiritual answer for America, statism for her political life, and socialism for her economic life. That's what we have now. We cannot be made subject, however, to world courts and to our military coming under the command of NATO and the UN and other foreign militaries, and we can't have our population disarmed and docile until our constitution is rendered a mere piece of paper.

However, have you not observed this drift of the inertia of evil, dear listener, a momentum away from the constitution? This inertia, this momentum is evil, I submit to you. It is why we can call the tremendous opposition that this present administration is facing evil. It is the inertia of evil. Well, how did this state of affairs come about?

How did the federal leviathan mushroom from a toddling babe to a lumbering beast? And most of all, who is to blame? Who is to blame? If you're looking for someone to blame, look in the mirror. Remember that line from V for Vendetta?

If you're looking for someone to blame for this tyranny, for this oppression, for this inertia of evil, we need only to look in the mirror, dear listener. You and me and our forefathers have done this. One only has to consider the ultimate authority invested in the constitution. Is it the United Nations that is the ultimate authority of the constitution? No, of course not.

Perhaps it's the president who is the ultimate authority. Perhaps it's Congress. Perhaps it's the Supreme Court. No, it is none of these. Our constitution begins, we the people, doesn't it?

We the people, one of the most famous lines in all of history. We the people do ordain and establish this constitution for the United States. The memory nerve for our people has been snipped, hasn't it? Who knows this anymore? Our founders insisted that it is we the people who are the ultimate authority for the constitution.

George Washington puts it this way. He says, the power under the constitution will always be the people. The power under the constitution will always be the people. He goes on to say, whenever that power is executed contrary to their interest or not agreeable to their wishes, their servants, notice how he calls elected officials servants, which of course grates on these high and mighty magistrates and officials. But he says, if their interests are not served and not agreeable to their wishes, their servants can and undoubtedly will be recalled, unquote, from George Washington.

Well, the inertia of evil got started because we the people allowed it to gain momentum, didn't we? Yeah, I would even suggest we tipped that garbage ball down the hill and it's been rolling and gaining momentum ever since. Gaining evil momentum, gaining garbage mass ever since. Now, federalism is not evil in and of itself. No, federal government was originally created by the founders to do the things that the individual states couldn't do.

This is good and salutary. The federal system is designed to serve the states and the people, to be a servant of the states and the people, not their master. The federal government was originally created under the Constitution to negotiate treaties for all the states, for example, to regulate interstate trade, for example, and to raise an army and a navy, and then to declare and wage war, which the states couldn't do individually or wouldn't do very well. It was also created to regulate and coin money, which the individual states were botching in a great degree.

Now, all of this and more, the states found that they couldn't do or that they did very poorly under the Articles of Confederation. Thus, they went into a constitutional convention to create a federal government. As Washington puts it, they got together to create a federal government for certain defined and limited purposes. Oh, this has been lost, hasn't it? The federal government was created for certain defined and limited purposes, and part of the evil inherent in the inertia of evil is precisely that our federal system deliberately has burgeoned into an undefined and unlimited beast, and it has been done by our leave.

We, the people, have allowed, yea, desired it to be so. Oh, say it's not so, but it is. Because, as many cynical politicians have observed over the decades, Americans like their perceived freebies, don't they? And once sucking on the federal teat, it becomes very addictive, doesn't it? Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, unemployment, welfare, food stamps, Obamacare, Obamaphones, and Obamigration, and Obamacation, I call his current immigration policy, Obamamigration.

And, of course, Obamah education, free education, Obamacation. But it is more subtle and pervasive than just this, than just the gimme handout perceived freebies. And they are perceived freebies, too, by the way, because we pay for them heavily. We pay more expensively than if we purchased them in a free market economy. All these things that I listed for you can be available in a free market economy.

But we pay for them in the way that government steals from us. And these are threefold, are they not? Taxes, inflation, and borrowing. This is how government steals from you. And had we more time, I would unfold those for you.

But go and learn how government steals from you to pay for all these things through taxes, inflation, and borrowing. The inertia of evil gathers garbage and increases momentum when we demand a mommy state to a nanny state. This is also the more subtle and pervasive idea of the inertia of evil, of the deep state, if you will. We don't have enough money or expertise in our local communities to educate our kids, so we create a department of education. Local communities and states are so inept at securing clean air and clean water that we create an environmental protection agency, the EPA.

This EPA, this evil protection agency, oh, I'm sorry, the environmental protection agency, has achieved warp drive speed, hasn't it, lately? With the introduction of the global warming scam. Oh, the global warming scam is only heating up. And as it gets hotter and hotter, we will be toast by the time they're done with us. These and so many more, the FDA, the Bureau of Land Management, and especially Homeland Security, and the NSA, the National Security Agency, they all come to mind.

They presume to watch over and secure our safety and welfare, ostensibly. This is the narrative for public consumption. But in reality, another factor is at work. That is the loss of your liberty and the ceding of greater and greater power to the beast. This is how we, the people, give momentum to the inertia of evil.

We, the people, have the power to stop it. We are the ultimate authority of the Constitution. But instead, we give momentum to this inertia of evil. We think we need these things. And that if we just trade a little bit of liberty, we will get security.

But as Benjamin Franklin puts it, any man who would trade his liberty for a little security deserves neither. Oh, dear listener. We are groped and goaded at the airport, aren't we? We were spied on in the carports. We're told we need fewer options and fewer children.

We are told that we need to consume less food, less energy, and less living space. One tells us, for example, that 300 square feet per person is allotted in the future. It's coming. We are also told that we must accommodate Muslims who won't assimilate. We are told we must assimilate and accommodate Mexicans who won't legally immigrate.

We're told we must accommodate felons released by a progressive magistrate, too. We are told that we don't need our god, our gold, or our guns. We are told that if we do not accept an increasing array of sexual identities, that we are intolerant, and we are told increasingly by the beast, lumbering in its inertia of evil, we are told what to do, what to say, and what to think. When will we, the people, the authority vested with the power in our Constitution, when will we rise up and say, enough? It is time that we do so, dear listener.

It is time that we rise up and say, enough. And then what can be done? What can be done to break the momentum of the inertia of evil? Well, for its part, we see that the present administration is waging a valiant war to do just that. But if you follow the news, and I just exhort you to follow the real news, the alternative news, not fake mainstream news, because they are a tool of the deep state.

They are a tool of Leviathan. They are a tool of the beast. They are filled with the inertia of evil. If you do follow real news, alternative news sources, you know that the present administration has run into this buzzsaw of the inertia of evil. They have come crashing head-on into it.

And so I would just ask that you pray for our president, pray for his administration, and pray for his agenda, because he is in the teeth of the inertia of evil. Well, as for the rest of us, he cannot do it alone. He is not expected to do it alone. He will not be able to do it alone, because it is we, the people, who are the ultimate authority of the Constitution, and we must act as well. What we must do, first of all, is wake up.

Wake up, dear listener, and wake up those around you to these things. We can't go along to get along anymore. We can't have business as usual, because the republic indeed is at stake. The inertia of evil will roll over us all. If we do not stand and stand together, and no problem is solved until it is recognized.

This is why we must wake up. If you do not yet see the truth of the inertia of evil, you will be steamrolled by it. As the Apostle Paul puts it, when he calls then to the lost man, he says, Wake up, O sleeper. Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you. This is indeed a call to conversion, first and foremost, is it not?

We must be forewarned and forearmed in Christ. We must be strong in him and in the power of his might. And we must, therefore, wake up, O sleeper. Wake up, O dead man, Paul is saying. Those of you who are spiritually dead yet, wake up, O sleeper.

Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you. So I just exhort you to wake up, not only spiritually, not only to Christ and salvation, but also wake up to our present circumstances. We are responsible as Christians for them. And under the civil covenant, we are responsible then for our response to civil government, for good government, for moral government, for righteous government, for government that does not hide and lie and deceive and murder and accuse and oppose the program of God. So seek alternative sources for your information then, other than newspapers and television and radio of the mainstream.

Look for alternative sources. Wake up, and wake up those around you too. And then finally, we need to resist. The Bible tells us indeed that the righteous go along to get along, but that those who are righteous resist evil. And so we must resist evil as well, the inertia of evil.

We must do so peacefully, certainly, but we must nevertheless resist. This can be done, dear listeners, with your dollars, your vote, and your voice. You must resist with your dollars. Buy from companies, for example, that share your perspective on the Constitution. Buy locally whenever possible.

Support your local economy. Support candidates as well with your resources, with your monies. Support candidates who are not establishment Republican or Democrat. Find those who are awake. Find those who will resist the inertia of evil.

Both Republican and a Democratic establishment are indeed a part of that inertia of evil. And we see that in their opposition or else their indifference to the program of the present administration. So I urge you then to support resistance with your dollars. Support resistance as well with your vote. Be politically active, dear listener, and be politically informed as well.

Find those alternative sources of information. And do a little work. Do a little homework and a little research. It's kind of fun, actually, because there's some really lively and good sources out there where you can get good, reliable, solid information. Put your thinking caps on.

Screw your head on straight. And get informed. Know your candidates. Know the issues inside and out. Be informed and tell others.

Debate. Question. Ask. Go then to public forums. Challenge your representatives, your magistrates, to indeed oppose the inertia of evil.

Run for office yourself, perhaps. And then lend your voice, too. Make yourself heard. Write letters. Make phone calls.

Go to then the open forums that you find here and there that candidates have. And go to the debates. Become informed. And also make your voice heard. Become an articulate spokesman then for the alternative to the establishment.

And most of all, I would just exhort you, too, especially as a pastor, I would be remiss in not exhorting you to pray. Most of all, pray. What a joy it is to come to God in prayer. He is one who answers prayer, as well. We have seen answers to prayer throughout America, have we not, in the last year or so?

And this is the first and foremost a spiritual battle. That is so key to understand. It is first and foremost a spiritual battle that we wage. We wage war against those forces in the heavenlies, as the Apostle Paul puts it. First and foremost, not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities and the authorities that are in the heavenlies.

Know your God and then know what your God would have you to do. This is first and foremost. I call you to repentance and life in Christ. Wake up, O sleeper, as the Apostle Paul says. Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.

You will find the light of the gospel. You will find the light of your Savior shining in your life, and you will know your God. He will be your God, and you will be his people. And then you will know, as well, what he would have you to do. As you consult his word, I would exhort you, especially in these political days, to consult the wisdom literature.

The wisdom literature of the Old Testament is packed, indeed, with advice for kings and for subjects, for magistrates, for all those who would know how to, in a godly fashion, bring to light, bring to bear all of the covenants of God, the civil covenant in particular, so that we can live in peace, proclaim the gospel in peace, and to live ordered lives, to indeed bring Christ, Constitution, and capitalism back to America in full force. We can do this, dear listener, as you pray. Pray for your candidates, pray for your families, pray for yourself. This has been Pastor David Bass at New Geneva Orthodox Presbyterian Church.
