Greetings. This is Pastor David Bass at New Geneva Orthodox Presbyterian Church with a moment of truth, where we challenge you to think through an important issue of life and faith. And today, an amble through the preamble to the Constitution with the Savior. Yes, I want to take an amble through the preamble to the Constitution with the Savior, with you today. Now, the preamble to the Constitution is famous for succinctly summarizing the six purposes of human government.

And are you listening, President Trump? President Trump could use a lesson here, because I heard him on several occasions when he was asked, what is the purpose of government? Oh, he drew a mind blank, and he couldn't explain. He's mumbled something about health care and education. No, no, no.

The preamble to the Constitution succinctly summarizes the six purposes of human government, and they are to form a more perfect union, to establish justice, to ensure domestic tranquility, to provide for the common defense, to promote the general welfare, and then lastly, to secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity. And to these, we must return. Now, our founding fathers were students of history and government. They called government the divine science, and they understood the conclusions of history, that these six purposes were advanced by the recently minted Constitution.

And what I want to do is amble through the preamble to root them in biblical principle and show you how they are being threatened today by those in power. That is a great irony in the light of from whence they derived their power, that is the Constitution.

If we're going to return to Christ, Constitution, and Capitalism, which I have been preaching, that is Christ for our spiritual lives together, together, the Constitution for our political lives together, and Capitalism for our economic lives together, and replace it with what we have now, that is Secularism for our spiritual lives together, Statism for our political lives together, and Socialism for our economic lives together, the three C's versus the three S's. If we're to do this, then we must understand clearly, down to our toenails, how Christ applies to our political lives together under the Constitution. Because so much of it does.

It includes the preamble to the Constitution. So let us begin our amble through the preamble by seeing how Christ informs our first purpose for government, and Christ does underline the first purpose for government. And it's how it's being threatened by the deep state too. That is to form a more perfect union, to form a more perfect union. And the deep state is trying to foster the most imperfect disunion in contrast to a more perfect union.

Now, a chief purpose of government is to foster unity over those they govern. A house divided against itself cannot stand. Christ so often remarked in his ministry, and Lincoln quoted this and applied it to the struggle of the civil war in the United States. Unity at a variety of levels is necessary to the survival of a people. Now, the Constitutional Convention was called in 1787 in large part to address the lack of unity that the 13 states were experiencing under the Articles of Confederation, which was the national charter erected after the Revolutionary War.

The sovereign states were so off-put by the tyranny of centralized government has so recently experienced in the King and Parliament of England that they set up a very weak central government under the Articles of Confederation. Consequently, the federal government experienced difficulty in raising taxes to fund itself, calling a militia to defend the country as a whole, establishing a single currency to make sense of the chaos of currencies the states were printing, and then even to regulate moderately the destructive trade policies the individual states were setting up against one another.

Well, cumulatively, the lack of a stronger central government was creating a far less than perfect union, to the point that it threatened to break up the union itself unless it was remedied. Ergo, the Constitutional Convention. And that more perfect union is being threatened now, again, today, but for different reasons. Let me list some of those reasons for you. First of all, deep state interest in the United States, that is the permanent bureaucracy, the permanent government in Washington D.C., which has ballooned beyond all imaginable size.

This deep state interest in the United States of America wishes to bring us under greater control of a world government system that must first weaken us to control us. That is the old strategy of divide and conquer. Yes, the deep state is manufacturing the strategy of divide and conquer. Ever since the administration of President Woodrow Wilson in the early 20th century and his attempt to bring us into the League of Nations, well, our federal government has been moving us closer and closer towards a one world government accelerated with the creation of the United Nations after World War II. The mask is slipping in this regard.

Now, I used to consider that kind of thinking paranoid conspiracy theory. Oh, but one must deliberately close his eyes and stop up his ears to be unaware of the forces moving us towards a one world tyranny. For example, let me just give you three brief examples. First of all, there's the United Nations Agenda 21. Agenda 21.

If you haven't heard of this, you better do some homework. It is a comprehensive plan for the 21st century to impose severe limits on human consumption of the world's resources in the name of saving the environment, of course, of course. And it is to the absolute disadvantage of the United States of America. Not only is there Agenda 21, but there's a variety of trade treaties that bleed us dry. For example, the North American Free Trade Agreement or the Trans-Pacific Partnership, all of which, thankfully, President Trump is renegotiating.

And then thirdly, there's the preparation to bring foreign troops onto American soil to do to citizens what our own forces would never do. That is, fire on us in times of civil unrest. And the most recent example of this was that Cook County Commissioner Richard Boykin, who met with the United Nations Assistant Secretary General to explore bringing in United Nations troops to help bring peace to the violent, gun-ridden streets of Chicago. Oh, these are just three examples of trends towards a one-world government system that our leaders are guiding us.

But in order to accomplish this end, they must first weaken the more perfect union in our preamble, through which I'm ambling with you, to which our Constitution exhorts us to a more perfect union. Only when we are sufficiently divided as a union can we be satisfactorily absorbed in disunion into this new world order, peace by weakened peace. Therefore, for those with eyes to see, a panorama of divide and conquer is being played out right now before us. For example, we are being deliberately divided along racial lines. This is no coincidence that racial tension is worse now after Obama than it was before.

We are being deliberately divided along racial lines. Martin Luther King Jr.'s vision for an America united under one principle, where, as he puts it, a man is judged by the content of his character rather than the color of his skin. Well, this principle is quietly being exchanged for a new progressive one, where a man is judged in preference for the color of his long oppressed skin, as long as it's not white. Never have the races been more divided than since the 60s. And you could make an argument that it's getting worse.

Self-segregating blacks and self-loathing whites accentuate racial differences and divides in America today. George Soros-sponsored groups like Black Lives Matter generate racial grievances rather than human agreements concerning race. And perhaps the most egregious proponent of racial friction is Barack Obama, our community organizer in chief. While the job title community organizer sounds innocuous enough, even boring and technical, maybe the actual job description is more insidious. Obama is a protege of the original community organizer, Saul Alinsky.

Does that name sound familiar? Saul Alinsky was the very prototype of subsequent models of community organizers. From the mid-20th century, he was, and the author of the Bible of community organizing, Rules for Radicals, famously dedicated to that first rubble, as he puts it, Lucifer. Alinsky was brilliant in devising strategies for oppressed and disorganized groups and communities in the inner cities of America. But it came at a cost, division, strife, and alienation.

A community organizer is trained to come into a community and identify points of division between two or more groups. And if there are no natural frictions, then the community organizer creates them. And he aggravates them with a number of tried and true tactics explored by Alinsky in order to polarize groups completely from one another. The conflict thus created demands a solution from the power structure, the powers that be. And of course, the community organizer has that solution in the form of his list of demands on behalf of the aggrieved people.

Well, this brief and admittedly incomplete description is sufficient to make my point. The creation of conflict, the creation of conflict is at the heart of community organizing and community organizing is at the heart of Obama and progressivism creating conflict. It's how they succeed. It's what they do. And stupid conservatives go on thinking that if we just meet the demands of this or that group in this or that crisis, that the conflict will just go away and we can get on with lowering taxes and defeating terrorism.

Oh, that is not what happens. However, either conflict is fostered in a new area by the community organizer or further demands are made in the issue that's just been won. Oh, so it is in the area of race and ethnic relations, whether it is Ferguson, Missouri or St. Louis or college campuses or reparations or quotas and casting for the local drama club. I don't know whether you've heard of this little issue, but it's there. Tension, racial tension has never been higher.

And that's just the way progressives want it, but it's not the way it should be, nor is it the way that Christ constitution and capitalism would have it either. I submit to you that Christ is the only solution for racial division and conflict in America today, Christ. And the apostle Paul puts it this way. He says, for in Christ Jesus, you are all sons of God through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

There is neither Jew nor Greek. There is neither slave nor free. There is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Now, many of us in the church forget what a revolutionary message we bring. Oh, Christ in bringing salvation to all men obliterated the forest of divisive distinctions at the foot of this one tree, the cross.

Don't miss this one tree. In the forest of divisive distinctions, dear listener, there are all equal. All of us are equal sinners who receive equal forgiveness for our trespasses and stand upon equal ground before our savior, Jesus Christ. For the forest of divisive racial distinctions, there is neither Jew nor Greek, neither slave nor free. Now, the racial division, Paul mentions, between Jew and Greek in the first century was every bit as divisive as that of skin color in our own day, if not more so.

The fact that now in Christ there is neither Jew nor Greek radically altered the race relations of the first century. Additionally, many so-called scholars criticized Christianity for bringing slavery to the new world when, in reality, it was this principle of the Bible that neither is there slave nor free in Christ Jesus any longer that actually formed the seed in the abolition movement in the United States for the ridding of slavery. Therefore, if we are to achieve a more perfect union, dear listener, in the area of race and ethnic relations, then we must return to Christ and his gospel.

It alone will help us unite as we all in good faith come to Christ. The perfection of the principle in our preamble of a more perfect union will only be accomplished with life in Christ and his church. Well, secondly, let me also, as we amble through the preamble to the Constitution with our Savior, let me note as well that the deep state is using other issues to divide us. And that other issue is we are being deliberately divided along gender lines. Yes, we are being deliberately divided along gender lines. Now, those in the deep state that are nudging and shoving us, if you will, towards a new world order, a new world system, they divide us along as many fracture lines as they can create. But none is more provoked and encouraged today as that divide over gender, unless, of course, it is of race, previously described.

They're neck and neck in terms of their divisive influences in America. Now, sex and gender. Sex refers to biological differences, biology, chromosomes, hormonal profiles, internal and external sex organs. And there are two of these, of course, the same across cultures. But there's also gender.

And gender describes the characteristics that a society or culture delineates as masculine and feminine. Gender means masculine and feminine. And these roles can differ across cultures. Gender is the point of conflict now in our culture. And that division began with the feminist movement back in the 70s, but has degenerated.

There were many noble points to the feminist movement in the 70s, but it has now degenerated into a morass of confusion and debauchery in which a site like Tumblr can seriously catalog 325 different genders. Believe it or not, check it out. I couldn't believe it. But they go on to say that there are 325 different genders. They do it with a straight face and they say that's only so far.

Now, let me sample a few of these with you. First of all, this gender stands out. It's called the absorbo gender. I'm not kidding you, absorbo gender. And that's a gender that changes to conform to the genders of those around you.

As you are around more and more people, even if some leave, they continue to add to the genders that you feel. See, so much of this is about human feeling. And then there's the angeligender. Yes, the angeligender. And this is a gender found only among angels.

That's hard to describe to non-angels. So if you're not of the angeligender, then, oh, it's difficult for you to understand. This angeligender is only for the godkin and the angelkin. Oh, yes. Don't ask me what those are.

I know what they are, but I don't have time to describe it to you. Then there's the anon gender, the anon gender. And this gender is that unknown to both yourself and others. Oh my goodness. I can't figure that one out either.

Then my favorite is the bog gender. Yes, the bog gender, also known as the swamp gender. And this gender is that which feels like a bog or a swamp or a marsh or similar ecosystem. Well, I'm only into the Bs. It goes all the way through Z into 325 different genders.

Now, personally, I have a 326th gender to add to this list. Now, as I was driving into town today, I saw a unicorn in the clouds and I closely identified with it. I am now fully persuaded that I am of the unicorn gender. Yes. Clap your hands for me, dear listener.

And I will personally, on the other hand, consider it a macro or I'm sorry, a microaggression against me. If you question my sincerity or the reality of my unicorn-ness, and I'll have the county sheriff arrest you for hate speech crime. And it just makes me want to run to my safe space in the student union lounge, just thinking about being rejected in my unicorn-ness. Well, dear listener, all of this would be laughable if not for the police state speech codes on college campuses, which require you to use the proper gender categories and pronouns or else face disciplinary action. Dear listener, you are being groomed for tyranny.

This is nothing more than grooming for tyranny. This proliferation of genders and the resulting conflict that it creates has been concocted on college campuses where the maxim still stands. Yes, on college campuses, there's no idea so outlandish that some professor somewhere does not propound it. And this is one of those outlandish ideas. So this gender conflict, this gender agenda is concocted on college campuses, funded by progressive foundations, and then parroted by the mainstream media.

Oh, no. Gender agenda is not the fruit of culture evolving step by ascending step towards a beatific socialist utopia. No. Rather, this gender agenda is a crass, cynical, poisoned pill stuffed down the unwilling throat of Americans as social justice. It is meant to confuse and conflict us.

It is deliberately designed to turn a more perfect union into a most imperfect disunion. The gender agenda should be soundly, decisively rejected by the American people. Instead, we must begin to embrace again that which unites us. That is Christ and his gospel. Christ and his gospel.

Once more, Paul exhorts us, do you remember, there is neither Jew nor Greek. There is neither slave nor free. There is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Dear listener, unity is found among the two genders in Christ Jesus. There is masculine and feminine.

All others divide. Men and women are all one in Christ Jesus. Now, this does not mean that we are asexual nor genderless. It merely defines the absolute equality of every soul before the cross. Remember, dear listener, do not miss the one tree for the forest of genders.

At the foot of Christ's tree, the cross, we all find forgiveness. There also, dear listener, there also, when we look closely, when we study the text, we discover our true sexuality and our true gender as we learn who we are as creatures made in the image of God. Crucial to understanding sex and gender is understanding that we are made in the image of God. Genesis tells us, so God created man in his own image. In the image of God, he created him.

Male and female, he created them. Unquote. Male and female, God created us in the image of God. So, sanity and a more perfect union will return when we return to biblical principle, to Christ and his church, and then explore biblical principle there on out. In addition to the disunion being fostered among racial and gender lines, dear listener, we could go on and on because we are being deliberately divided along religious and economic and immigrant and native-born lines, too, for that matter.

Now, the deep state knows that the more division, the better for their purposes, for their ends, which, of course, is to divide and weaken us and then incorporate us into a larger world system. They have learned their lesson well from the British, who employed the divide and conquer strategy effectively to control their far-flung colonial empire, as did the Roman Empire before them. This is nothing new. What we are experiencing is nothing new. We have to step back and stop being manipulated like chess pieces and stop being manipulated and tempted in one direction like lemmings running over a cliff.

They know, the deep state knows, that by aggravating the inherent divisions, even as Britain understood, by aggravating inherent divisions, they can divide and weaken so as to conquer. By aggravating the inherent divisions in India, for example, the British Empire was able to control a vast populous continent with relatively few soldiers. They pitted Muslim against Hindu, Hindu against Buddhist, Buddhist against Sikh, Sikh against Muslim, Brahmin against priest, warrior, and priest warrior against merchant farmer, and then the merchant farmer, of course, against the untouchable.

When in conflict with one another, these groups are in conflict with one another, when that is stirred up, well then, who swoops in to bring order and save the day? Of course, it's the British colonial governor and his troops. This was the basic strategy of divide and conquer throughout the British Empire. And it is the basic strategy of divide and conquer that the deep state is employing to divide and conquer America. And as America descends deeper and deeper into chaos and conflict, we too will cry out for a savior.

And of course, that is the almighty state. We have moved, from Christ, constitution, and capitalism to the miserable existence of secularism, statism, and socialism. And you watch most of those trained in public schools and raised in our culture, the millennials in particular, when we sink deeper and deeper into chaos and conflict, they will cry out for the savior of the almighty state to intervene and bring law and order. The more perfect union created by our founding fathers will collapse into the most imperfect disunion.

We will be held together by the iron bonds of a tyrannical state instead of the fraternal bonds of a constitutional republic. Let me repeat that. In days to come, we will be held together by the iron bonds of a tyrannical state rather than the fraternal bonds of a constitutional republic. And only when the church begins to live out its oneness in Christ in our spiritual lives together, will we be able to live out our union in a republic for our political lives together? The blame for living under secularism, statism, and socialism can be squarely laid at the foot of the church.

As goes the church, so goes the nation. The world does have a model, dear listener, for unity in the church. If we will just live that out in all of its faculties in the life of the church, now it's a tall order, but we must shoulder this responsibility, take this mantle upon us, take this yoke of Christ's upon us. It's a tall order, but we must model racial unity and grace. We must model the sexual and gender identification outlined in the Bible.

Can we do this, dear listener? Oh, brothers and sisters, I cry out to you. Can we do this? And I say, yes, we can. Christ says that we can.

From whence comes deliverance? If not from Christ and his church, we will be sunk into secularism, statism, and socialism if we do not return to Christ, the Constitution, and capitalism, dear listener. And it is the church that must model this before the world. Pray with me for this, dear listener. Labor with me for this end.
