Greetings. This is Pastor David Bass at New Geneva Orthodox Presbyterian Church with a moment of truth, where we challenge you to think through an important issue of life and faith. And today, I want to ask you, why is it that we need to set aside the secular constitution of the United States of America in favor of an explicitly Christian constitution? Now, last week, I outlined a plan for a world government composed of a Congress of Christian constitutional republics. It is virtually a design for the millennia.

Now, this is not new with me. Others have laid groundwork for this in the past. I will be referring to some of them, I think, in future. But suffice it to say that for now, this Congress of Christian constitutional republics would replace the present travesty, travesty, excuse me, of the United Nations, which has thus far, the United Nations has united no one. It's brought peace nowhere, and it solved nothing of the world's problems in the history of its existence.

It's been entirely impotent in bringing any kind of blessing to the earth. In fact, an argument can be made that it has rather fostered war and conflict and misery to a greater degree than it has eased any of these. And I'll make that argument further in days to come. But for now, I want to give a brief overview as to why it has become necessary, necessary to lay out a long-range strategy to build a new world based upon a new principle, which is really an old principle, which we seem to have forgotten. And just one small sample from the Scriptures will suffice.

And we usually hear this verse around Christmastime from Isaiah chapter 9, but it is for the whole year round, where Isaiah says, For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace, there will be no end. On the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore, the zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this. Unquote from Isaiah chapter 9.

Well, this government on the shoulders of Messiah, this government is not for some airy-fairy age to come, some literal 1,000-year period when Jesus will reign in some dispensational kingdom in a Jewish Jerusalem after seven-year great tribulation and a battle of Armageddon, right? That's usually how the scenario is drawn. Rather, this government is a government for the ages, and it's for our time. It's meant to be actualized before our Lord's return. The psalmist agrees and says as much in Psalm 2, Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, says the Lord God to his Son.

Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage and the ends of the earth your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. Oh, dear listener, Christ is meant to rule the nations now. He is to have dominion in this age. And as John points out in Revelation as well, from Revelation chapter 20, where it says, Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed.

Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshipped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads with our hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. So we see indeed that the Lord will reign. He will rule the nations here in this period. But before that vision can be fulfilled, the ground must be cleared of the underbrush of demonic tyranny that we are now experiencing.

I submit this to you. The government, as we know, know it, must be utterly destroyed and replaced. It's too late to be redeemed. It is beyond redemption. The constitutional republic established by our founding fathers is beyond repair.

It is a fact apparent to anyone with eyes in their head. And let me lay out these facts, two of them primarily, in support of my thesis. Number one, the permanent bureaucracy or the deep state has gradually replaced we the people as the ultimate authority in our frame of government. Oh, yes, our blessed constitution begins with we the people in order to, and then it gives the six principles of government that the constitution is established. Well, that we, the people, has now been replaced by you, the state, the permanent bureaucracy.

In ancient Rome, let me give you an example. In ancient Rome, the Praetorian Guard was the elite of the elite of all the Roman legions, and they were the smartest and most skilled warriors in all of Rome, and they guarded the life of the emperor, much like the Secret Service does for our president of the United States, but they were much more. Over the centuries, they became more powerful than any individual emperor, the Praetorian Guard. And much like the elected representatives in our own system, the emperors came and went every few years, but the Praetorian Guard remained.

They provided continuity of power throughout Rome, and a crisis developed maybe, or they helped the incoming emperor learn the reigns of power. They helped him adapt to the ins and outs, the intricacies and the subtleties of the Roman court. Oh, but gradually, almost imperceptibly, the Praetorian Guard, because of its permanent status in Rome, soon became more powerful than the senate or the emperor. And indeed, the Praetorian Guard began to dictate to the emperor and senate. They set up and they deposed emperors of their own choosing, in fact.

And although the original intention for the Praetorian Guard was for it to serve the Empire of Rome, in the end, it ended up being served by the Empire. The Praetorian Guard became rich and powerful at the expense of the Empire. Well, I submit to you that the permanent bureaucracy, the deep state, in our own time, is the equivalent of the Praetorian Guard of Rome. Like emperors, presidents and congressmen come and go every few years, depending on their length of terms. But what is guaranteed is that the vast octopus-like deep state abides, decade after decade, just like the Praetorian Guard.

Who can cut off even one of this octopus's tentacles, huh? Oh, for example, Ronald Reagan said he would end the National Education Administration, begun by his predecessor, Jimmy Carter. Instead, Ronald Reagan, excuse me, Ronald Reagan, went away while the NEA burgeoned into a monster bureaucracy, draining tax dollars while brainwashing our children in the public school system to always vote Democrat instead of educating our kids. Oh, another one, Ron Paul, one of my favorites. Ron Paul made a theme of his term for the auditing and abolishment of the Federal Reserve.

Instead, Ron Paul's long and distinguished career is over. The Federal Reserve still lingers. It's no fault of his. While that same Federal Reserve continues to rob and cheat the American people by manipulating our currency. And then, of course, countless crusaders have stepped forward to curtail and rein in various aspects, various tentacles of the deep state, whether it be the IRS or the Federal Drug Administration or the Environmental Protection Agency.

But instead, each of these constitutionally elected advocates have faded into obscurity while the deep state agents accumulate more and more power and wealth and influence. Our constitutional system is an unmitigated wreck. Our accountable elected representatives, that is, our congressman or our president, they were designed to do the things the deep state is doing and be accountable to us. And that is, make laws, execute their enforcement, and do it all within a limited, constrained field of action. A field of action limited and constrained by that constitution.

But instead, the field of action for government, for the deep state, has expanded to every corner of the people's lives. And the bureaucrats who run the agencies are accountable to no one. We have seen this in the recent ups and downs of president Trump as he has been prosecuted and persecuted. And the deep state does as it pleases. And they're pleased when they do us.

Oh, we have reached a system of unmitigated wreckage. And one of the many things for which we must congratulate president Trump is the way in which he has exposed the deep state for what it is, a vindictive self-serving state within a state. Nothing has brought out of the slime the dingy creatures of the swamp more than Trump's promise to drain the swamp. Oh, and how the swamp creatures have rallied to get rid of him, haven't they? Impeachment did not begin this year, did it?

It was promised by Democrats even before he was elected. The evil bureaucrats in the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Justice Department had an insurance policy, right, to get rid of Trump with that fake special counsel investigation of Robert Mueller. Trump has been betrayed again and again by his own aides, too, who are loyal to the deep state and not to the Constitution. The deep state has an inertia of its own. Behind it lies billions of dollars, decades of tradition, and no accountability.

They have power to dictate our lives limited only by our own credulity. Oh, dear listener, the American people have brought this on ourselves, on themselves. We have asked for more and more. We've given the government more and more and continued in the last analysis to get less and less ourselves. When is enough enough?

When will we say thus far and no further? When will we say we the people instead of you the state? For the deep state, the Constitution is a barrier to be overcome, not a document to be defended. The Constitution's cumbersome checks and balances, its division of government into three branches, is very inefficient and obsolete in their eyes. For those in the deep state who swear allegiance to the Constitution in their oath of office, it really is a mere formality they must perform to get to power.

And as soon as their left hand comes off the Bible and the right hand is lowered, those hands grope for your pockets and your throat, the Constitution be damned. For the American system to work in this day and age, the consensus is behind closed doors, for the American system to work in this day and age, the Constitution must be actually subverted and undermined, streamlined and altered, all the while giving the appearance to the American people of its being defended against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

But the Constitution's actual domestic enemies drag it out and invoke it when it serves their purposes of power, possessed demons like Nancy Pelosi or Adam Schiff or Jerry Nadler, who drape themselves in the precious Constitution by impeaching the president, when in reality they're subverting the very document they pretend to invoke. This has gone on for decades. It is now coming out into the open more and more. The deep state has been quietly making the Constitution irrelevant bureau by bureau, bureaucrat by bureaucrat, dollar by dollar as the years go by.

And for the deep state, the people are foolish sheep to be led when they're not bovine cattle to be milked and slaughtered. For the deep state, in their hubris, they are the important ones. They are the sine qua non, those without whom there would be no United States of America. You and I, to them, are disposable trolls, useless eaters, mere servants of the state. Why, without them there would be no we the people.

First assertion. That was my first assertion. Second assertion. A global elite has quietly betrayed the United States of America by selling our economy to the highest bidder, compromised our military strength by selling our technology, and ceding our national interests to foreign powers, and facilitated then the imposition of a world government upon us. That's my second assertion as to why the ground must be cleared, and we re-establish, then, a Christian constitutional republic.

Because a global elite has quietly betrayed the United States of America by selling our economy to the highest bidder, compromised our military strength by selling our technology, and ceding our national interest to foreign powers, and facilitated the imposition of a world government upon us. Dear listener, the very idea of a global elite used to be a conspiracy theory in the mainstream media. Remember those days? But time and experience have shown us that there is indeed a cabal of wealthy, power-obsessed elites who desire nothing less than to impose a worldwide agenda on the rest of us.

It's quite apparent to anyone not under the spell of the Jedi mind tricks of the deep state, right? These are not the enemies of the republic you're looking for. There's nothing to see here. Move along now, right? If you're still skeptical of this reality, if you are still a victim of that Jedi mind trick of the deep state, I urge you to consult several mainstream books that only begin to peel back the veil on this truth.

I have two books for you, both of them excellent, and both of them moderate. One is called Superclass, and the subtitle is The Global Power Elite and the World They Are Making. And that's written by David Rothkopf, who has moved among the global power elite. He has moved among them for decades, and he, in fact, makes his fortune advising them on world issues. And the second book I would recommend to you is called Plutocrats, Plutocrats, and the subtitle is The Rise of the New Global Super Rich and the Fall of Everyone Else.

I love that title, Plutocrats, The Rise of the New Global Super Rich and the Fall of Everyone Else. And that's written by Chrystia Freeland, who is a journalist based in New York and London, and she has reported on international finance issues for years. And the subtitles of these two books say it all, don't they? There is a global power elite making a world in which their fortunes and power are secure. And whether you are conscious of it or not, a new global super rich have risen on the backs of and at the expense of the rest of us.

It is international in scope. Freeland estimates that on a planet of 7 billion people, there are perhaps 6,000 to 7,000 of the new super rich whose fortunes run into the billions and are so strategically woven into the fabric of the world's economy that this economy must be managed and controlled on a global scale if it is to be stable and secure. That is, if the fortunes and interests of the new global elite are to be protected and secured for themselves. And consequently, governments must be influenced as much as possible to create policy that secures a stable and profitable outcome for them. And this is nothing new in history, really.

From the moment the first caveman stashed more mastodon steaks than he could eat and more bearskins hides than he could wear and he moved into a more spacious cave than his neighbor. Men have since then tried to secure their wealth and make sure that access to it would be there tomorrow. What is different today is that the global power elite are now doing this on a global scale, not just locally or even nationally. And rightly or wrongly, government has more often than not famously been the handmaiden of the rich.

Government has traditionally been the handmaiden of the rich, serving the interest of the rich in exchange for wealth and security themselves. That's true quid pro quall. Enter the American politician. If traditionally government is handmade to the rich, then the politicians in our government are abject whores to the rich. Rather than detail this minutely, I once again refer you to the man who, more than anyone else, has pointed out that the emperor has no clothes, and that man is author Peter Schweitzer.

He's authored many books, but the ones you must read if you're going to understand the point I'm making are these. Number one, extortion. Peter Schweitzer's book, Extortion, and the subtitle is How Politicians Extract Your Money, Buy Votes, and Line Their Own Pockets. That's a good book. And then he wrote also, number two, Clinton Cash, the untold story of how and why foreign governments and businesses helped make Bill and Hillary rich.

Another excellent volume. The one I want you to read, if you can't read all four of the ones I'm going to list for you, read this one, number three, Secret Empires, How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends. That's an excellent book. And he's totally apolitical in this. Both liberal and conservative, both Democrat and Republican, take the brunt of his expose.

And then fourthly, his newest release, just released last week, Profiles in Corruption, Abuse of Power by America's Progressive Elite. And that's just in time for the Democrat primaries. So when you introduce the two, that is the global elite with the American politician, you have the toxic marriage that I've mentioned above. That is a global elite has quietly betrayed the United States by selling our economy to the highest bidder, compromised our military strength by selling our technology and ceding our national interests to foreign powers and facilitated the imposition of a world government upon us.

Now, while many examples could be cited, let me refer you to one overarching one, and that is the bought and paid for lackeys of the Chinese government. Oh, yes, dear listener, stretching back to the 90s, when L'Oreal sold classified military technology to China, the Clintons have made millions of dollars from China in lucrative trade deals that compromise our own place and position in the world economy and all to the advantage of the Chinese. Senator Mitch McConnell is married to a lovely Chinese woman who, strategically and coincidentally, is related to a wealthy and well-placed Chinese family in the power structure of the Communist Party.

And a number of business arrangements in China have netted the McConnells millions of dollars. And then finally, Senator Dianne, I'm sorry, excuse me, Senator Dianne Feinstein, chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee. She had a Chinese spy on her staff for 20 years who funneled top secret information to his Chinese handlers. And Feinstein, mysteriously, has made millions of dollars in Chinese investments, quote unquote, over the same period. And these are but a few egregious examples.

This incestuous marriage of government and finance has contributed to the corruption of our constitutional republic. Precisely because the modern world economy is global, the local provincial barriers must be taken down so that more efficient world systems can be created to secure the global wealth of the elites. And one of those barriers, indeed, the major barrier in the eyes of the global elite is the American Constitution. It stands as the charter of an independent people who determine their own course apart from the dictates of elites who are protecting their own interests.

And as long as the Constitution stands, America cannot be controlled. And so Trump's America first slogan, you can see, make America great again, all of those, right? All of that is garlic to a vampire when it reaches the ears of these global elites. Could you see why they hate it? It grates.

They gnash their teeth because it threatens to upset the sweetheart deals they've made with American politicians and the neat arrangements being made all over the globe, including the United Nations. If indeed, global wealth must be managed by global government, then the United Nations stands ready to hand as a good beginning to form a world system. But it's only infant in its stages. It must be nursed while the independence of America must be starved. These are the real reasons the deep state is trying to get rid of Trump and why he is so hated.

He threatens their soft, cushy vultures' nests in the swamp where globalism is being nursed like a deformed beast on the breast of Mordor. Everyone else who entered the swamp did so, expecting to be enriched in exchange for favorable votes and legislation, whether it compromised the people or not, right? And so ironically, all of this hand-wringing and the crocodile tears shed over quid pro quo in Trump's impeachment is laughable, since quid pro quo is the operating principle of the swamp. Trump, this for that. I will give you this if you give me that.

Trump is beginning to expose the betrayal, yea, the treasonous behavior of those in the deep state who took their oath of office cynically, with their fingers crossed behind their backs. Trump has disrupted the global timeline of the elites who are nevertheless determined to complete the political and economic structure which will secure their interests into the foreseeable future. So make no mistake about this, dear listener, a world government is coming. It is inevitable. And what we must decide as free Americans is this, of what character and nature will that world government be?

And the most logical, I submit to you, the most biblical answer is that of a Congress of Christian constitutional republics spread across the world. Now, that's a big agenda, and I'll fill it out in greater detail more in the future. But it demands, first and foremost, securing a Christian constitutional republic for ourselves. Then it requires that we foster and encourage free peoples with their own Christian constitution with its own distinctive features for their own culture and traditions.

Ah, but that secure Christian constitution will not be securely planted until the ugly briars, the thorns, and the thistles of our present constitutional system are cleared away, destroyed root and branch. And that must be seen clearly by us as a first step. Many recognize this already, and that day is coming. But we have not yet asked, what will take its place? What will take its place?

To this question we turn in future broadcasts. I hope to flesh out this picture in greater detail. But until then, dear listener, keep in mind our Lord's words for the millennia. It's a strength. He said, all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always to the end of the age. I'll leave you with those words and invite you to listen next week.
