Greetings, this is Pastor David Bass at New Geneva Orthodox Presbyterian Church with a moment of truth where we challenge you to think through an important issue of life and faith. Today, how does the Declaration of Independence speak to the necessity of abolishing our present form of government, which is destructive of our rights, and instituting a new form of government? The Declaration of Independence does indeed speak to this. Now, over the last few broadcasts, we have been arguing for the necessity of establishing a worldwide government composed of a Congress of Christian constitutional republics. It's time for a new vision.

We see the world already moving ever closer to a world government. There will be a world government in the future, the near future, but that world government is being shaped by forces totally unaffected by either the people of God or the church. Rather, we see it being shaped by a global elite, and I have covered this, of course, in messages previous, and I urge you to consult the reality of the situation. We are seeing this world government being shaped by a global elite composed of the super-rich and their lackeys, that is, the politicians that currently inhabit Washington, D.C., like cockroaches.

These are the super-politicians of the nations. And what is required immediately is a worldwide awakening to these facts, and then an immediate spiritual awakening to Christ and his gospel. This is what is needed immediately. And once this happens, and only when this happens as a precondition will the godless, and I would say even demonic formation of the present world government, only then will that be altered in its trajectory. This is now our only alternative, dear listener, and you're blind if you do not see it.

Wake up! To deny this basic fact, this basic set of situations is to continue to live in the matrix, if we could say that. And you must pretend that we are free when we are in reality, having our wealth, our health, and our happiness, yea, our very lives sucked dry for the ends and the well-being of the global elite. Once again, I urge you to consult on my previous message on this, which gives you some details and gives you some resources to consult yourself, to think through this independently. But this reality is now apparent to those with eyes to see.

But sometimes history does help us focus our thoughts. And in this regard, the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration of Independence, written by our founding father, Thomas Jefferson, at the behest of the Continental Congress in 1776. The Declaration of Independence can indeed set the context for our own day in 2020. Then, in 1776, Jefferson and the founders hoped to justify independence from Britain on the basis of commonly held, commonly received understandings of God-given rights, and then, given those rights, the consequent purposes of government.

Indeed, government does have a purpose in regards to those rights. And Thomas Jefferson, as he composed this eloquent statement, the Declaration of Independence, Jefferson strove to portray that the colonies, the American colonies, represented justice and liberty, while the old decaying crown and parliament of Britain represented injustice and tyranny. Thomas Jefferson labored practically the whole month of June in 1776, composing the Declaration of Independence to which he had been commissioned by the Continental Congress.

And loath then to advance himself and take primacy of place, Jefferson at first eschewed writing the Declaration of Independence. But John Adams, who eagerly wanted to do it himself, told Jefferson that, indeed, he said, a Virginian must take the lead in this matter. Oh, yes. A Virginian had to take the lead in this matter of writing a Declaration of Independence. And so Thomas Jefferson, in the heat of June, spent almost the entire month at a small desk composing the Declaration of Independence, composing the Declaration of Independence.

Indeed, he was the right man to do it, though, in the end. Even though Adams wanted eagerly to write it himself, it was Jefferson who had the skills and the genius to compose it. I love what John F. Kennedy said about Jefferson. He was speaking on April 29th of 1962, John F. Kennedy. He was speaking at the White House at a dinner hosting Nobel Prize winners, American Nobel Prize winners, all these men of genius.

And Kennedy said this, and I quote, I think this is the most extraordinary collection of talent, of human knowledge that has ever been gathered together at the White House, with a possible exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone. Unquote. I love that quote. Kennedy had a deep respect, the genius of Thomas Jefferson, and we all should as well.

He is the one who composed the Declaration of Independence, indeed gave the American Continental Congress, and we can say probably the entire American people he gave, Jefferson did give voice to the soaring spirit of America as she took her place among the nations of the world to establish the first constitutional republic. And I say deep respect for it, love for it, in continual trajectory with it.

What we need to do is maybe add a bit more of polish and perfection to it, not that we, and I'm not alone in this, I'm not the first to declare this, but to perfect it perhaps a little bit more, to tweak it a little bit more by making of it a Christian constitutional republic. But back in 1776, at the composing of the Declaration, after briefly articulating the received understandings of the day of enlightenment liberty, and once again Jefferson was not original in this, he was indeed re-articulating many developed and understood concepts of liberty.

The Declaration then, after articulating these, the Declaration catalogued the extensive transgressions of those liberties committed by Crown and Parliament in Britain. And he did articulate these in excruciating detail, over 30 particulars. And we shall descend into the proverbial weeds of the Declaration. And not many people do this. Few people articulate these 30 particulars of transgressions of liberty.

So many of us quote the opening paragraphs. Children in grade school and in high school memorize generally the first few paragraphs of the Declaration, but not much is articulated beyond it. And we do this today, though. We descended to the weeds of the Declaration of the Particulars of the Transgressions of Liberty because the nasty details of tyranny change little over the generations. Ah, since the dawn of man.

Brutal armies behave like brutes in every century. And monarchs in every age attempt to crush their subjects who challenge their authority. That's happening today in America. with the deep state. And in our courts, too.

Judges with a vested interest in the establishment tyranny. All these kinds of judges continue to rule in favor of it and against the people. Oh, witness in the headlines even this last week. The case then of Roger Stone. Oh, talk about the courts.

We'll talk more about the courts here in a few moments. But first, I aim to demonstrate that the Declaration of Independence has, ironically, come full circle. Declaration of Independence has come full circle to be as applicable to the very government it proposed to establish as a free, independent, constitutional republic. We are no longer a free, independent, constitutional republic. We indeed now are a tyrannized, dependent, deep state.

Oh, and if we indeed are going to restore ourselves as now a Christian constitutional republic, we need to recognize who and what we are, where from which we operate. And all we need to do is compare the abuses of the mother country, England, with those of the homeland. That is the deep state of the United States of America, which has, like a wolf in sheep's clothing, taken the place of our constitutional relic. Well, what are those abuses? Oh, let's descend into them, shall we, with a survey.

And you might have to take a shower after we're done when you see the abuses of liberty, the dirty abuses of liberty committed by the deep state in contemporary America. Well, what are those abuses in comparison with the abuses of king and crown of England in the 18th century? Well, let's survey the Declaration of Independence, first of all. Okay.

And I begin with paragraph one, where Jefferson writes, when in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and of nature's God entitle them a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to that separation. Oh, yes. The prologue to the Declaration of Independence, stating its purpose, why it is here being stated.

So, in such a large and frankly audacious undertaking, like setting up a free constitutional republic like the United States of America, hiving off the most powerful empire of the day, that is the British Empire, one had better be prepared to give an account of the why and the wherefore of this separation and must be prepared to give that account to the rest of the world.

And make no mistake that though a global statement was articulated here, the Americans had France in particular in mind because France stood ready to aid, indeed, a credible colonial stance, a credible establishment of a nation on these shores, but needed to see that it was indeed credible. And so, in the prologue, Jefferson attempted then to introduce why the Americas were a credible choice for a particular nation. Okay? And then, secondly, in the second paragraph, we see the prime directive of government articulated these famous words. Paragraph number two of the Declaration of Independence.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, that to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles, organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to affect their safety and happiness.

Unquote. The second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence. Oh, brothers and sisters, what an eloquent statement of the prime directive of government. The second paragraph here, quoted so often, cited so often, alluded to so often, is indeed the prime directive of government, articulated eloquently by Thomas Jefferson. Oh, that inspired portion of the Declaration of Independence, if you will, that everyone loves to quote, generations of American schoolchildren used to memorize.

They don't much anymore, do they? Deliberately by the deep state and their government schools, their government schools. And of course, this second paragraph lays out three fundamental truths of the human condition. Number one, we are all created equal. And that was revolutionary in its own day.

Indeed, many protested to the, even amongst those in the Continental Congress protested to the notion that all men are created equal. But that was a revolutionary and biblical principle. Number two, we are all endowed with certain unalienable rights. We have unalienable rights. Rights that cannot be taken away.

Rights that are not granted by government, but indeed are granted by number three, the third truth. That is, these truths are intrinsic to us as creatures by virtue of our creator. They're God-given rights. They can't be taken away. The right to free speech, the right to practice of our religion, the right to arm ourselves.

Indeed, all of things, these things are intrinsic to us by virtue of creator and cannot be taken away except by tyranny, except by demonic tyranny, which is indeed the purpose of the state these days. Is it not the deep state to take away all of those rights? Our equality, too, in mind by the Founding Fathers, that equality is that equality under the law, together with an equality of opportunity, not an equality of outcomes. That's socialism. That's communism to guarantee outcomes for all to have health care.

No, that's a guarantee of outcome. That's socialism. That's communism. That's not a God given right to have health care. It's not a God given right to have a guaranteed income.

It's not a God given right to have a house. Those are all things that you achieve in various stages of wealth that you achieve on your own, by your own efforts and your own labors, which are not equal. God has not granted equal gifts and equal talents to all men. And so there are not going to be equal outcomes by definition. But all men are indeed guaranteed equality under the law to have fair and impartial justice administered under the law.

That is our equality. The unalienable rights we have are really too numerous to mention, but they're summarized by Jefferson as life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And the creator, of course, is the Christian God of the Bible, not Allah or Buddha or some amorphous being of deism. No, but indeed what the founders had in mind, uh, when life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are guaranteed by the creator, that creator is the Christian God explicitly named in all the charters and the constitutions of the American colonies.

Well, given these three assumed truths, the prime directive of government is to suborn and undermine those rights. No, that's the deep state's charter. No, according to the Declaration of Independence, the prime directive of government is to secure these rights, not to suborn them, not to undermine them. Indeed, not to take them away. Here is a truly revolutionary idea of the day.

Government is meant to be the servant of the people, not the master. Oh, that's the old, old story where government is the master. And that is what the deep state is trying to bring us back to, where their lies and their deception and the hissing promises of the snake, right? Free healthcare, free housing, free education. That's the hiss of the serpent to impose tyranny, reimpose the tyranny of old.

Here to four, the people had existed to serve the king, the monarch, if you will, the royalty, the tyrant. But the founding fathers and their reading of history, that is the Bible, deduced quite the opposite. They say, indeed, men institute governments, and this is how it was in the beginning. This is how it was in the history of Israel. Men institute governments to secure the rights of the people and the various and sundry powers of the state, the various and sundry powers of government are set up and they continue at the pleasure of those governed.

That is by the consent of the governed. I submit to you in our day, the consent of the governed is being removed from the deep state, from the government. It's not a constitutional republic. It is indeed a government that we have in Washington, D.C., but it is not a constitutional republic. It is a tyranny.

And the consent of the government is indeed being removed. And when that consent is withdrawn, governments change. And it's about time our government changed. This is especially true, as Jefferson puts it, when, and I quote him, any form of government becomes destructive of these ends. That is when they no longer secure the people's rights, but destroy the people's rights instead.

In such a case, the people can damn well do as they please in setting up a new government. That was their right in the 18th century, and it is ours too. Our present form of government, a deep state run for the rights of a few and the enrichment of a global elite. This form of government we have presently is no longer a constitutional republic. It is a deep state, and it has become destructive of these ends.

That is, our God-given, unalienable rights. And consequently, it is our right in this generation. It is your right. It is our necessity to institute a new government. Well, then there is also a prudent qualification that we have in the Declaration of Independence, a prudent qualification.

In paragraph 3, Jefferson says, prudence indeed will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes. And accordingly, all experience has shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms which they are accustomed. That's paragraph 3. And it indeed is a prudent qualification, right? And Jefferson was very intentional here.

In order to distance the American Revolution from the rising hysterical radical revolution that was brewing in France, indeed tyranny, monarchical tyranny present in France was beginning to be resisted. And that revolution would boil up and bubble over, of course, in 1789. But the founding fathers could also see from afar that this radical revolution was brewing in France. Radical, though. It was rife with violence and bloodshed.

And, of course, then, with the advent of the guillotine would become the reign of terror, right? That revolution would become the reign of terror. And in order to distance the American Revolution from this irrational, hysterical, radical revolution in France, Jefferson underlines the patient endurance of the colonists. And, in effect, he's saying it's not as if we're being rash and impetuous. We put up with evils.

We appealed peacefully for redress of grievances. We waited patiently for change to come about, but it was all for naught, right? That's effectively what he's saying. They waited until the pattern of tyranny was unmistakable. It was clear to any intelligent mind who looked unbiasedly at the facts.

The same is true today. Anybody who has eyes in their head, who is not brainwashed, who has not taken the blue pill, if we can use that analogy, but has rather taken the red pill and is now awake. Oh, you woke culture, right, of the progressives. The so-called woke culture is joke culture. You're asleep.

You're dead to reality and truth. You're dead to what it means to be a constitutional republic. You're not woke. You're joke. Take the red pill and awaken and see, indeed, that you are rather being oppressed than liberated.

The deep state is indeed tyrannizing you, and you deserve what you get if you pursue your progressive politics. No, we have waited until the pattern of tyranny is unmistakable, and it indeed is unmistakable in the deep state, and it's clear to any intelligent mind who looks unbiasedly at the facts, even as our founding fathers looked unbiasedly at the facts in their day. Well, then in paragraph four, we have seen the undeniable circumstances of the people, paragraph four. Let me read that for you.

Jefferson says, but when a long train of abuses and usurpations pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty to throw off such government and to provide new guards for their future security. Such has been the patient sufferance of these colonies, and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former systems of government. The history of the present king of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute tyranny over these states.

To prove this, let facts be submitted to a candid world.

Oh, brothers and sisters, dear listener, we indeed have the undeniable circumstances of the people, and I'm going to have to continue those undeniable circumstances then next week when we look further at the Declaration of Independence and how it applies, in particular those abuses, to our own circumstances, why it is time for us indeed to establish a Christian constitutional republic here in the United States of America, because the former system of government, as Jefferson puts it, has evaporated, and the wolves in sheep's clothing, the deep state and those who occupy the deep state, or the swamp, as it's also known, indeed need to be replaced and drained and eliminated.

And we'll continue then our march through, our look for, through the Declaration of Independence, comparing the situation there with the situation today, and why the Declaration of Independence is as relevant today as it was in the 18th century.
