Greetings, this is Pastor David Bass at New Geneva Orthodox Presbyterian Church with the Moment of Truth, where we challenge you to think through an important issue of life and faith. And today, I want to take up again how the Declaration of Independence speaks to the necessity, the utter necessity, please see this with me, dear listener, the necessity of abolishing our present form of government, which has been so destructive of our rights, and then instituting, indeed, a new one.

Oh, this must be our course, our present course, because as the Declaration of Independence says, when in the course of human events, and there are plenty of human events, not only in Jefferson's time, but ours too, right?

When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands, which have connected them with another, and indeed the political bands of our Constitution, which is ironically established by our founding founders, it has now become destructive of our rights, and so destructive, and so interwoven and bound up with this constitutional system that the founders established, that it cannot be repaired. It is like a cancer that is metastasized through the entire creature, and the creature must be destroyed, if indeed the cancer will be destroyed, and perhaps like a conjoined twin, right?

Where the death of one twin, destroying one twin, will automatically destroy the other as well. So bound up, so conjoined has the deep state, as it has come to be called, so conjoined has that deep state become with our constitutional republic, that the entire constitutional republic, indeed, must be cast asunder. Those political bonds must be dissolved with the deep state, i.e. the constitutional republic that we have come to know and love. It cannot be changed.

It cannot be fixed. It cannot be repaired. It cannot be healed. It must die. This is the assertion that we make, because over the last few broadcasts, we have been arguing for this necessity.

We've been arguing for the necessity of establishing a worldwide government composed of a congress of Christian constitutional republics. Indeed, we must start afresh and established and ostensible and explicit constitutional republic, and we'll be characterizing that in days to come, drawing you a more clear picture of what a Christian constitutional republic would look like.

But first, we must justify the establishment of such a thing and the replacement of it and the impossibility of repairing, fixing, regenerating, renovating, if you will, the present constitutional republic, which is no longer a constitutional republic in any way, shape or form, but has indeed metastasized into a tyranny, into a deep state tyranny. While there was a deep state tyranny in the time of the founding fathers as well, it wasn't called a deep state. Rather, it was called King and Parliament of Great Britain.

This was the deep state which had infected and overtaken the constitutional republics that had been established in the respective 13 colonies at the time. While King George was going to put a stop to that independence, he was going to milk the colonies for all he could, as well as Parliament, because they saw the 13 colonies of America as indeed their province, their own personal playground with which to enrich themselves and tyrannize over their respective colonists.

And you know, if you know anything about the revolution, if you know anything about early colonial American history, the colonists were far stronger, far more aware, far more clear-thinking men and women than we are today. And they refused to put up with the tyranny of the deep state of their day, King George III and its Parliament, the Parliament of Great Britain. And we have been making our way then through the Declaration of Independence here.

We began last week by looking at the preamble to the Declaration and the reasons why indeed political political bands must be dissolved then from time to time, giving its justification and establishing the God-given rights and principles upon which this dissolution must take place. And those reasons, those liberties, those freedoms, God-granted liberties and freedoms still obtained today and give us justification for dissolution of our connection to the deep state of America here today. And so let us continue then moving through the 29 different particulars of why the 13 colonies dissolved their relationship with Great Britain.

And I am meaning particularly, particularly, excuse me, and explicitly to make the connection between the reasons then and the reasons now, because tyrannies really do not change. They always manifest themselves in particular ways. And Jefferson was very cogent in identifying them and pointing them out. And we're going to identify and point them out to you today in order to make the case for dissolving our relationship with the present so-called constitutional republic, which is indeed become a deep state tyranny instead. Now we pick up then with a reason number two for dissolving that relationship for the founding fathers.

We saw last week that King George had refused his assent to laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good. We saw that last week. We treated it. We left off there. So secondly, then today, King George has also forbidden his governors to pass laws of immediate and pressing importance unless suspended in their operation till his assent should be obtained.

That is King George's assent. And when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them. Oh, yes. Yes, indeed. That is, he lets King George let other legislation languish on his desk, effectively vetoing it, right?

If I don't sign that King George reasoned, it can't become law, right? And this is a classic passive aggressive behavior by government. It's one of the reasons why our constitution provides in article one, section seven, paragraph two, that if the president doesn't sign legislation passed by Congress within 10 days, it automatically becomes law as if he had signed it. And that's because of King George's passive aggressive behavior. So thank you, King George, for article one, section seven, paragraph two of our constitution.

But that does not stop the deep state in our own day from still practicing the subtle destructive behavior, passive aggressive behavior. The illegal immigration issue is exhibit A here. For example, progressive politicians do not want to stem the tide of illegal immigration because it gives them an issue to demagogue on at election time. And it also gives them voters to elect them into office and establishment Republican politicians. They don't want to turn off the spigot of illegal immigration because it supplies their corporate and big ag supporters and contributors with cheap labor.

And so it becomes convenient for all concerned to look the other way, to behave with a passive aggressive do not touch mode as if nothing was happening, even as our Southern border becomes an open sewer of terrorism and disease, drug smuggling and human trafficking. Oh, the same kind. This is why we justify our throwing off the bonds and the bands which connect us to the deep state of America, because the same kind of passive aggressive attitude of King George III that provoked our founding fathers to rebellion, that same passive aggressive attitude is driving us today with the passive aggressive attitude of the deep state.

We must throw off their bonds. Well, then the founding fathers also complained that he, that is King George, has refused to pass other laws for the accommodation of large districts of people unless those people would relinquish the right of representation of the legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only. No, King George would not sign legislation passed by the people's representatives unless those same people declined to be represented by the members of the Continental Congress that they chose. Oh, what a bold effrontery. What a convoluted twist of fate.

In effect, King George was saying, I won't recognize those acts passed by your representatives unless you forsake their representation. Can you see why the colonists were at their wit's end with King George III? He had such an overweening sense of his own paternalistic good towards the colonies that he thought he knew what was best for his subjects. And George was offended that they wanted representatives other than himself to describe, to decide, excuse me, what was best for them. Oh, read a biography of King George III and you'll see that he was just this kind of person.

This is the same devil's bargain I submit to you being made by the deep state to progressives everywhere, in particular, to those lulled and lured by the siren song of free stuff. We'll give you what you want, that is free stuff like college or healthcare or a guaranteed minimum wage, these kinds of things, in exchange for free market choices. This is what socialism always does. Offers free stuff, but eliminates free market choices. Let big daddy government make these decisions for you.

We will rob some of you of your vote by impeaching a president who threatens our soft circumstances that we have created for ourselves over the decades. That is the deep state. The deep state will create massive bureaucracies with virtual legislative power over you and we'll do it all for your own safety, right? The Centers for Disease Control, the National Institute of Health, Sir Anthony Fauci, right? St. Anthony are all making these decisions for you and no one questions them.

And we'll do this all then for your own good. We have technical account with Congress, right? Congress is supposedly overseeing us, but that same Congress virtually go unsupervised. They do not do their job of supervision and all of the deep state goes on unchecked. Well, in all of these situations and many, many more, the deep state has adopted the same paternalistic attitude of King George III.

That is, we know better. Yes, that is indeed the functional attitude of the deep state here these days. And then we also see that number four, he has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public records for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures. Oh, dear listener, this is the old trick of bureaucratic red tape. It continues today.

Make things so difficult, make things so arduous and complicated that you just give up. For example, in our own day, too, most individuals cannot file their taxes by themselves. And most businesses cannot do employee payroll, for example, in-house without great expense. Oh, and dear listener, just try to get a building permit in a major metropolitan city as Donald Trump used to do as a builder.

As far as I'm concerned, Donald Trump should have been unanimously declared president just for having successfully done this for most of his career in building right in New York, places like New York, or even dear listener, bringing it all home, even try to drain a swamp on your farmland on your own property without running afoul of the environmental protection agency, right? Oh, yes. One ski resort near us has been trying to get a new ski lift built for years and years, but the permitting has held them up and cost them an additional multi thousands of dollars because it might threaten the environment of a frog. Yes.

Oh, and all of this, even if it does get built, will be reflected in the cost of my lift ticket if I want to go skiing there, all courtesy of the Environmental Protection Agency. Now, while most people express exasperation at what we all know has become the status quo, the red tape status quo all over the state and the federal government, few of those people recognize that it is a favorite tactic of tyrants to oppress the people, create more and more red tape to fatigue them, as Jefferson says. Yes, this has been done consistently throughout the history of tyrannies, and it continues today as well.

While the number five, he has called together legislative, oh, I'm sorry, he has dissolved representative houses repeatedly for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people. Yes. In England, of course, the king had to cause sessions of parliament and he could dismiss them at any time as well. In the colonies, he could do the same. And in fact, the king completely dissolved these legislatures with an eye to reconstitute them at a later date.

And of course, when things were more auspicious for him, when they were more favorable to him and his court, this King George III did with impunity. And indeed, this is happening in our own day, look no farther than the legislature and governor of Idaho. The governor is the one who can call special sessions of the legislature. And indeed, there's been no greater need for a special session of the Idaho state legislature than in these days during COVID, the COVID crisis.

Now, Big King Little, Governor Little has been indeed tyrannizing over the state of Idaho in order to gain billions and billions of dollars from the government, from the federal government for our COVID programs, ostensibly, that he then deals out to his own friends and pals, but refuses to call a special session of the legislature when the whole state is crying for it. This is an example of calling and dismissing sessions of parliament that King George did and calling and dismissing sessions then of the state legislature when they are required. There is tyranny just as much today as there was in the days of our founding fathers.

And we must, even as they threw off the tyranny of King and Parliament, we must throw off the tyranny of the deep state. And make no mistake about this, Governor Little is an integral part of the deep state of America today. Well then, not only was these legislative bodies called and dismissed at the King's will, but then number six, Jefferson goes on. He says, he, that is King George III, has refused for a long time after such dissolutions to cause others to be elected, whereby the legislative powers, inescapable of annihilation, have returned to the people at large for their exercise.

The state remaining, in the meantime, exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without and convulsions, excuse me, from within. Oh, in an ironic twist of fate then. In classical passive-aggressive tactics, the King would take his time reconstituting those colonial legislatures which he had dismissed. He would take his time in recalling them if he would recall them at all. In the meantime, things of immediate and pressing concern presented themselves to the colonists.

Things like tribal uprisings on the frontiers, or pirates on the seas, or legislation to regulate a growing commerce between the colonies. All these things King George III ignored. What the people were forced to do was call their own Continental Congress without the permission of the king. And this, the colonists did. This is where we get the bases of our colonial legislatures.

And these surreptitious legislatures were called committees of correspondence. And they operated as representatives of the people in lieu of the king's toadies. It is reaching a point in our own day, I submit to you, when perhaps it is necessary for Americans to elect alternative legislatures ourselves, right? And to rise up in a popular revolution and elect representatives who will do the will of the people instead of the will of a global elite.

I have described for you in previous lessons how indeed a global elite is beginning to coordinate all of these things in concert to preserve their interests, their estates, their wealth, their power at the expense of the people. All that would remain if we were to do these things, to elect alternative legislatures, all that would remain is to determine where and when they would meet and how they would assert their newfound authority over the present system. Now, all of this would meet, of course, with strenuous and indeed violent opposition from the powers that be.

Oh, indeed, dear listener, no tyrant ever relinquish power without violent resistance. We must be prepared for this. We should not expect anything different from the deep state. And quickly, we will discover who is willing to live free or die. And quickly, we shall find out who is a summer soldier and a sunshine patriot, and who is the one willing to stand fast for freedom, as Thomas Paine put it, right?

Which are you? It is time to look within your own heart, mind, and soul, dear listener, and discover which are you. Are you aware, first of all, of the threat of the deep state? It's parallel with King George in Parliament, and our own peril, if we may put it that way, our own peril in our own day, and the old parallel as well between the situation in the days of our founders and the situation in our own day, when tyranny indeed is oppressing us, even as the deep state is doing, even as King George and Parliament did in the days of our founding fathers, right? Oh, this must be done, dear listener.

Then as well, number seven, he has endeavored then, King George indeed has endeavored to prevent the population of these states. He has forbidden the population of these states, that is the 13 colonies, for that purpose, obstructing the laws for naturalization of foreigners, refusing to pass other laws to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the condition of new appropriation of lands, unquote. Well, immigration, our founding fathers indeed faced situations with immigration, even as we face situations with immigration.

Immigration is always one of the tyrannies, one of the things that tyrants tyrannize when they oppress their people. And in an ironic twist of fate, King George III manipulated this issue of immigration in exactly 180-degree opposite direction of the tyrants of the deep state today, but with the same goal. That's important to assert, the same goal. In our day, the deep state is attempting to flood and overwhelm the very integrity of what it means to be an American with hordes of undefined, unexamined immigrants who have nothing but antipathy for liberty and identity as Americans. It is an intentional strategy to degrade independence.

Well, King George III sought to limit the immigration into the colonies of those who eagerly labored to establish independence and prosperity, that is, their own independence and prosperity, and that of their new nation. Oh, the tactics were polar opposites. One restricts, one opens the floodgates of immigration. The tactics were popular, or I'm sorry, were polar opposites, but the goals were nevertheless identical. Thwart the independence of the Americans with the issue of immigration.

One, by limiting immigrants who sought identity as free, independent men, and the other by flooding a country of free men with those who have no interest in being free, independent, and prosperous. The deep state today seeks to create a sea of slaves dependent upon the global elite, and the other sought a sea of slaves dependent upon the King of England. Oh, can you see, dear listener, why it is imperative to declare our independence from tyranny? To do this again, even as our founders did, from the tyranny of the deep state. However, not a king in parliament.

The deep state is, after all, the shadow government that now lords power over us. Dear listener, this has been Pastor David Bass at New Geneva Orthodox Presbyterian Church with a moment of truth. And we encourage you then to join us for worship.
