Greetings. This is Pastor David Bass at New Geneva Orthodox Presbyterian Church with a moment of truth where we challenge you to think through an important issue of life and faith. Today, how is it that we have let fools and clowns and tyrants bring us to the brink of nuclear war? I have been amazed. I've been astounded how we, the American people, have let such incompetence take power since the election of 2020.

But I'm amazed even more that now these same incompetence have brought us to the brink of nuclear war. The Apostle Peter spoke of the end of the world in which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn, unquote. The first world ended in water, as God judged it, in the great deluge in which only Noah and his family were saved. But this one will end in fire, Peter promises, which could well be the fires of a nuclear holocaust in which no one is saved.

Now, I must confess that in my imagination, I envision such an orgy of death, such an orgy of death, for that is what nuclear war is from the point of view of the evil one who seeks nothing more than the destruction of humanity. In my imagination, I envision such an orgy of death to be fought over grave and serious and world-shaking reasons, not to make a demented, decrepit, and doddering old fool like our president look good. For that is why this evil administration has undertaken a war against Russia, using the proxy chess piece of Ukraine as the excuse for war.

When leaders falter and lose the confidence of the people, there is one tried and true technique to regain popularity. Start a war. People instinctively stand behind a leader in wartime. They tend to forget everything else that they may have criticized him for, but they want him to be victorious in this existential moment of wartime. They want him to overcome the enemy at the gate.

Evil, cynical politicians use this impulse to their advantage. Bill Clinton famously launched airstrikes in Afghanistan to distract from his sex scandal with Monica Lewinsky. George Bush launched his war on Iraq to bolster his faltering poll numbers over his handling of 9-11. And Barack Obama, of course, attacked Boko Haram in Nigeria in 2014 to take attention away from a congressional probe into his administration. On and on we could go.

Joe Biden has been a failure at everything to which he has put his unsteady hand, hasn't he? This is one reason for what is happening. He has been guilty of that disgraceful withdrawal from Afghanistan, leaving thousands of Americans behind. And then there's his so-called defeat of COVID-19. Or his destruction of the economy with mushrooming inflation destroying the value of our dollar.

And then finally his strapping down the American people and the bonds of tyranny using the laughable insurrection of January 6th as a pretext for virtual martial law. These are only samples. And through it all, Biden has circulated in the district of criminals as if he were an escaped dementia patient from a nursing home, barely able to stumble through simplistic scripts on a teleprompter, slurring his garbled speech, unable to remain continent in his depends for an hour meeting with world leaders. This is precisely what happened in his meeting with Pope Francis, for example.

Joe Biden has proven himself incapable of running a grandchild's birthday party, much less the executive branch of the greatest republic in the free world. So as a consequence, the American people have rejected him. His approval rating weighs in at about 37 percent, the second lowest in history. On the world stage, the leaders of other nations perceive him to be weak. And that's a legacy from his being a part of the Obama presidency, who was also perceived to be weak.

And that's in addition to his own mishandling of issues of foreign policy. Consequences for pusillanimous reticence. Consequences for pusillanimous reticence ensue logically too. And that is weakness breeds aggression in your enemy. Weakness breeds aggression in your enemy.

This is why Vladimir Putin is emboldened to thrust into Ukraine now and why he moved into Crimea and held it when Obama was president. Both presidents perceived as weak. Putin smartly perceived that neither Obama nor Biden would push back. There would be very little pain or cost for these aggressions. In contrast, Putin made no such maneuvers when Donald Trump was president, did he?

Dear listener, weakness breeds aggression. But it must also always be kept in mind that this war serves the purpose of the deep state as well. It distracts from Biden's manifest failures and it rallies many gullible Americans behind an otherwise despicable leader. And progressives have been fanning the flames of hatred for Russia ever since the election of Donald Trump in 2016. Russia, Russia, Russia, right?

This is why America's participation in the Russia-Ukraine war must be rejected. There's absolutely no national interest for America in this war. It serves the interests of the deep state and not the American people. For example, Ukraine is not a member of NATO. That is the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

That's the Defense League of Western Democracies formed after World War II to defend against the Soviet Union. And since Ukraine is not a member of NATO, and thus the United States is not obliged to defend her. Now, this could change rather quickly, however, since Ukraine's application to become a member of NATO is being fast-tracked, even as we speak. That's a relatively new development. But also, we have no vital regional interests there to defend.

We should not be fighting there. And then, of course, Biden and his progressive lackeys, they evidence their utter hypocrisy in their solemn hand-wringing over things like defending the integrity of Ukraine's borders while ignoring our own. Or they manifest their hypocrisy when they cry, democracy, democracy in Ukraine. When Ukraine, when you look at the details is manifestly not a democracy, while imposing tyranny on us, the citizens of the United States, please don't suffer me to cry, democracy, democracy, Joe Biden, when you are imposing tyranny on me. Our involvement in the Russia-Ukraine war is evil.

It serves the narrow interests of the deep state and not the broader interests of the whole American people. In fact, a case can be made that going ahead in a war with Russia over Ukraine will only increase the bonds of tyranny over us here in the United States. One of my favorite authors and characters of the 20th century is a man named Alexander Solzhenitsyn, a Russian author. And he said, a state of war only serves as an excuse for domestic tyranny. Oh, isn't that prescient?

Isn't that insightful? A state of war only serves as an excuse for domestic tyranny. Solzhenitsyn, of course, author of the epic Cold War history and personal memoir, Gulag Archipelago. Solzhenitsyn saw this reality set in, in Russia, in his lifetime, over the span of the 20th century, which included, of course, World War I. Solzhenitsyn was born just after that war, or World War II, and of course, the Cold War. The Iron Curtain, as Churchill's phrase described the tyranny of the Soviet Union, the Iron Curtain that settled around the Soviet Union, was that domestic tyranny at home.

The Iron Curtain was the domestic tyranny at home in Russia, necessitated, at least as sensibly, by the state of war Russia had with the rest of the world. A state of war only serves as an excuse for domestic tyranny. Alexander Solzhenitsyn. Well, that domestic tyranny is upon us now, and it's on steroids. The deep state has tried to habituate the American people to tyranny during the unwarranted overreaction to the COVID virus, where we have been locked up, masked up, and vaxxed up for about two years now.

Two years in running, really. Do you see, dear listener, that single fact? Do you see that fact yet with clarity? We have enough perspective on this. We have enough information coming out.

If you just seek for it, we have these things for us to realize, first of all, that the nationwide lockdowns, for example, the nationwide lockdowns locked down everything but the virus, and they were actually designed in reality not to save our health, to save our lives. No, these lockdowns were designed to break the wills and the economy of the American people. We still see countless thousands of us walking around like zombies with lockdown PTSD, if you will, still waiting for new orders to crawl back into our homes and apartments to hide from the next manufactured terror. That's the nationwide lockdowns. But there was also the masks.

The masks were meant to form us, shape us into passive, subservient cult members of the deep state. And some of us, maybe even listening to this very broadcast on the radio, maybe driving around, unconsciously wearing that slave veil, marking us as obedient cult devotees. The mask is a slave veil. But there was also the vaccines then as well. The vaccines are not vaccines per se, are they?

But rather insidious gene therapies that destroy our natural immune system and aggravate a host of debilitating conditions and diseases. And I reference here, Dr. Peter McCullough. He's been a real lion on this. Check out his broadcast and his papers. Many of us who have taken these gene therapies, we now know this to our bones, don't we?

And that's literally. Many of us now know the debilitating conditions and diseases to our bones. Well, I've been over and over this in broadcast after broadcast since this all started. And I urge you to graze through the recordings of these broadcasts at your leisure. And you'll find them at our radio website, omnisprotestas.org.

The medical tyranny is only one component of the existential continuum of human life, which are oppressors designed to dominate. However, medical tyranny, it is a vital bandwidth, if you will, on the spectrum of human existence. And it's almost complete, that tyranny, as medical passports are being prepared for you, and without which you will not be able to leave your home. But war is another bandwidth, if you will, on that spectrum of life. And the military has coined a term that encompasses the totality of human life, that is full-spectrum dominance.

The military seeks for full-spectrum dominance. It seeks to dominate every aspect of the battle space in which they fight. They plan, at least, to then dominate, to have full-spectrum dominance over spaces like the air, or the land, or the sea, or artificial intelligence, or even psychological warfare. Full-spectrum dominance. And they seek to achieve full-spectrum dominance of the battlefield.

Our oppressors, the global elite who are striving to foist a great reset upon us. And I have numbers of radio programs which articulate this for you. Look those up as well on our website. But our oppressors seek the full-spectrum dominance of the entire human domain. And that includes the all-too-human endeavor of war.

The all-too-human endeavor of war. The author and commentator Arthur Kessler says, and I quote this, it's so perceptive, he says, the most persistent sound which reverberates through man's history is the beating of war drums. Can't you just hear them in the distance, dear listener, as war with Russia and Ukraine intensifies and threatens to engulf not only those two nations, but all of NATO and America and nations beyond. Kessler points out the most persistent sound which reverberates through man's history is the beating of war drums. Do you hear them?

And the American deep state knows this. And they know it all too well. And that deep state is playing this card from the deck of human history. They're doing it even now. The brilliant economist Murray Rothbard, he puts it this way.

He says, the state thrives on war. Expands on it. Glories in it. The state thrives on war, Rothbard points out. But he also says, unless of course, it's defeated and crushed.

That is what we must do. The state thrives on war. Expands on it. Glories in it. Oh, but dear listener, no, just know that the church does not thrive on war.

We must stand. We must resist. Neither does that church seek to expand that war or glory in war. No, we, the church, we Christians glory in the Prince of Peace. We seek to expand the gospel.

We thrive on the life and grace of God, not on war. And these we offer as alternatives to the mean gruel of the deep state when it seeks to push the shiitake mushroom sandwich of war into our face. We must be especially wary, dear listener, we who are Christians and we who represent the church in particular, we must be especially wary of the deep state when it begins beating the war drums of nuclear war. The reckless political Lilliputians in the District of Criminals, D.C., this reckless political band of Lilliputians, they have backed Russia's Vladimir Putin into a nuclear corner. Yes, he has put Russia on its highest state of alert.

Are you aware of this? And the only command remaining is launch. But Putin's situation is not one which came about in a vacuum either, dear listener. He has been provoked. For example, the discretionless Senator Roger Wicker, who sits on the Senate Armed Services Committee, and he should know better.

Roger Wicker, Senator Wicker said that the U.S. could rain destruction on Russia with nuclear weapons if Russia invaded Ukraine. Oh, what bluster. What a brave man. Well, Mr. Wicker, Russia has invaded Ukraine. What now?

And in response, of course, the Kremlin said that Russia could turn the United States into radioactive ash if she were attacked. So, of course, with Russia now on high alert, this is not just empty bluster, at least on Putin's part. Additionally, the deep state lackey, Congressman Adam Kinzinger, recently called for a no-fly zone over Ukraine. Does he know what he's talking about? A no-fly zone over Ukraine, enforced by NATO and the United States.

Of course, which tactic has always been seen by all nations as an act of war and would certainly invite retaliation from Russia, perhaps with tactical nuclear weapons and, God forbid, strategic nuclear weapons on the United States. Well, dear listener, this is just a small sample, if you will, of the rash, foolish talk that has come from deep state progressives concerning nuclear war with Russia. All of them are clueless as to the terrible consequences of even one nuclear explosion over America, much less a full-scale war with multiple warheads igniting in every major city and on every major military target in America.

What would be left, dear listener? What would be left? Albert Einstein, when he was asked about the kind of nuclear weapons that would be used in World War III, well, he responded, and I quote, I know not what the weapons of World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones. That's sobering, isn't it? And this is from the man whose physics helped create the first atom bomb.

Are we such clueless children, dear listener? Are we such clueless children? We get the government we deserve. Are we so clueless that we will play with nuclear fire and not only get burned, but be consumed in a fiery holocaust? Are there no sober statesmen to govern us anymore, but only shallow, feckless political hacks who can no longer think deeply, but only parrot the party line?

Make no mistake, dear listener, that's precisely what's going on now in Washington, D.C., that district of criminals. There are no sober statesmen who think and who govern wisely, but only shallow, feckless political hacks who no longer think deeply, but only parrot the party line led by Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. Now, I'm afraid the answer I keep coming back to again and again is yes to the fact that we are clueless children willing to play with fire. And no to that second question, that is, there are no sober statesmen left. I no longer trust anyone who governs us in any of the branches of government, dear listener.

I've become cynical in this. I no longer trust anyone who governs us in any of the branches of government, whether it be executive or legislative or judicial or our newest branch of government, which is the intelligence branch. Yes, this is an integral part of the deep state. This fourth branch of government, the intelligence branch, as it is called, has been metastasizing deep within the body politic of the federal government for decades now. And it was put on steroids, of course, after 9-11.

The intelligence branch is ground zero for the deep state. And I refer you to an excellent piece from the website Last Refuge. And that piece is dated February 12. And it's entitled, The Surveillance and Political Spying Operations, Highlighted by John Durham, Are the Tip of the Iceberg. It's a long title, but it does kind of encompass the theme.

Well, our federal system, now a metastasized, intelligent branch of the deep states. But our federal system originally was created to serve the states.

And it is time that those 50 individual states now bring that system to heel and break it and dismantle it and destroy it and begin anew. That federal system was the creation of our original Dr. Frankenstein, that is the Constitutional Convention. But the creature created has now turned on us and serves itself at the expense of the states and their citizens. This Frankenstein monster has become terrible to see. And now it wants war, which the church, dear listener, must oppose.

Oh, as one of the church fathers, the early church fathers, and this has been a consistent theme throughout the history of the church. In redemptive history, the church father, Clement of Alexandria, who lived in the late second century on into the early third century, Clement of Alexandria said about war, he says, this is the proclamation of righteousness to those that obey glad tidings and to those that disobey judgment. The loud trumpet, when sounded, collects the soldiers and proclaims war and shall not Christ, breathing a strain of peace to the ends of the earth, gather together his own soldiers, the soldiers of peace.

The trumpet of Christ is his gospel. He hath blown it and we have heard, unquote. Beautiful words of peace from Clement of Alexandria, late second, early third century. This has been the consistent theme of the church throughout history when it comes to war. There are circumstances in which we must fight and we must go to war.

I do not mean to say that there are no circumstances under which we must go to war, and those are covered by the seven principles of a just war, and we'll articulate those one day. But the larger consistent theme has been this one of Clement of Alexandria, that is, shall not Christ, breathing a strain of peace to the ends of the earth, gather together his own soldiers, the soldiers of peace. Is this you, dear listener? The trumpet of the gospel has been sounded and continues to sound, and the gospel opposes all unjust wars, and this war with Russia and Ukraine is unjust.

The gospel opposes all unjust wars, which by definition characterize all of the ones being fought by our present administration, propagated by our current evil deep state. I refuse to be associated with any war advocated by our current federal government. This is for one reason. It's because of what John Adams has said about unjust wars. He says, great is the guilt of an unnecessary war.

Oh, that's so true. John Adams and our founding fathers saw this. Great is the guilt of an unnecessary war. Dear listener, your federal deep state government does not care about you, the average citizen. Rather, it is consumed with aggrandizing its own wealth and power to the exclusion of the common good, the common weal.

Rather, that deep state seeks to tyrannize you and use you for its own purposes. Do not disregard Solzhenitsyn's warning. He says, a state of war only serves as an excuse for domestic tyranny. That's coming upon us, dear listener. Rather, let us take up the original impulse of the church fathers.

Once again, Clement of Alexandria, who said, shall not Christ, breathing a strain of peace to the ends of the earth, gather together his own soldiers, the soldiers of peace. The trumpet of Christ is his gospel. He hath blown it and we have heard, unquote. Oh, dear listener, have you heard that blast of the gospel being sounded? Respond to it.

Respond to it in peace. And indeed, if you're going to fight, fight the impulse to war that is being propagated upon us by the deep state. Rather, listen to the trumpet of Christ in his gospel.
