Greetings. This is Pastor David Bass at New Geneva Orthodox Presbyterian Church with a moment of truth where we challenge you to think through an important issue of life and faith. And today, I want to challenge you to continue to think about the new American slave. He's being formed. He's being made.

He's being shaped even as we speak. We are indeed sliding into the new American slavery. This is part two of a series that I began last week where we ask the question, why is America just blithely unaware of this slide into the new American slavery? And it's not an exaggeration. It's not hyperbole either.

We laid out, we demonstrated the evidence that indeed those who rule over us, the wealthy elitists of the world who now run and control a world economy, not just national economies, local economies. We're talking a global scale now, global elites we call them, because they do indeed have their hands on the levers of a global economy, a readily forming global government. And they indeed want to participate in the wealthiest of all, the most productive of all endeavors, and that is slavery.

And Americans are like that frog in the kettle, slowly having the temperature of their slavery raised until we are one boiled frog, as I pointed out last week. Now, we saw the definition of a slave from Milton Meltzer's book, Slavery, A World History, a very simple definition he gives, and that is, a slave is a man who is the property of another. That's essential to slavery. There must be a property owner, and there must be property. And I began to demonstrate, indeed, how this is becoming more and more true of Americans, day by day, week by week, month by month, year by year.

We are becoming the property of another. And I began by laying out several points. I want to continue and finish those points. I laid out three points demonstrating this last week. And I want to finish with the last two points demonstrating that, indeed, the new American slave is being formed.

You, if you live long enough, you and your children and your grandchildren will be slaves. If we continue in the same direction we're going now. So consider the evidence before dismissing the new American slavery as some sort of conspiracy theory. Oh, and just remember, if I'm a conspiracy theorist on this, then you, I would submit, are a naive, brainwashed Pollyanna. We are sliding into slavery.

Consider the three points I made last week. First of all, just briefly, slavery is not the exception in history, but rather the rule of history. Oh, since so many of us have no patience with history, we often miss this point. But if you scan the 10,000, some 10,000 year history, if the anthropologists are right, that we have been a cultured society, why slaves have been used, especially since we've settled down, become agrarian, began to settle down from the herding and wandering nomadic life down to a domesticated life where we raise crops and so forth. That's especially when slavery began to kick in.

Slavery has constituted the norm of how men live from the earliest mists of time. We briefly reviewed the pyramids, slaves building the pyramids in cities of the Nile in Egypt, slaves tilling the terraced hills of Greece, building the Parthenon of Athens, slaves manning the oars of the ships of war in Carthage, slaves in Rome, slaves in every part of the world. That includes the Arab world, the African world, the Asian world. Slavery has been an integral part of every civilization from the very beginning. Secondly, we also saw number two, man is cursed with a slave mentality, making him susceptible to being either a master or a slave.

Pointed out that in order to have a slave, a world needs a master as well. And we have a slave mentality and consequently a master mentality as well. One cannot exist without the other. We saw why the slave complies with all of the indignities of his state. He does so because of fear of punishment.

He sees himself as powerless and he has the default setting the human heart. That is habit or the normalcy bias, as it's put contemporaneously today, the way things are, always have been and always will be, oh, slavery. So we saw then thirdly, too, that slavery was, is now and always will be the most profitable business on the planet. This we must keep in mind uppermost in our mind because this is why slave masters seek to enslave the rest of us is because it is the most profitable venture on the face of the planet. Oh, and so they pursue it.

And so they pursue us. We saw this, for example, throughout the South. And this is why plantation life was slave life is because it was profitable to the plantation owner. That's why it's been true throughout history. The most profitable venture on the globe, bar none.

And then now we come, then those three points we dealt with in detail last week. Let's go ahead and look at the two remaining points that we need to make as to why America is sliding into slavery. There are reasons. For number four, liberty is the all too rare exception in human history. Liberty, freedom is the all too rare exception in human history.

If indeed, slavery is the slavery is the norm for human history, then liberty is the all too rare exception in human history. That is consequent one upon the other. And then if that is true, to say that Americans take their constitutional liberties for granted, oh, it's a profound understatement, isn't it? We here in this country are so accustomed to speaking freely, owning guns, given the benefit of the doubt as to our innocence when brought to trial, and going where we want, buying what we want, and worshiping God in the way that we want.

We're so accustomed to these things that we tend to think that it is the way all men have lived, with maybe the exception of some slaves in the South, way back when in America's early history. Oh, but anyone with even a modicum of historical awareness knows that this state of affairs, that is a people living under a constitutional charter of liberty, is extremely rare in history. Mostly, people have lived under despotic tyranny from the very beginning of time. Oh, think of it, dear listener, the billions and billions of souls who have lived on the face of this planet.

For the last 10,000 years, if the historians of ancient culture are correct, we looked at this last week, the billions of souls that have lived have largely lived as slaves, or in a slave culture, into which condition they might easily slide, and from which condition it was almost impossible to extricate oneself. In my series on the biblical roots of our constitution, I document the few periods of history that have been characterized by liberty, liberty for all under a free republic. Oh, and a couple of those were, for example, Israel. Israel began her existence as a tribal republic under a series of judges.

Had she been faithful to God, Israel would have flourished as God had intended and designed. Instead, Israel asked for a king like all the other nations around her. Early Anglo-Saxon culture had a primitive republic in which every member was considered a free man. Everyone had a vote. There were checks and balances in place to prevent one man from becoming too powerful.

There was even in the Anglo-tribal culture, there was an acknowledged body of rights that every member had, which could not be revoked. And then Rome, in her early days, that it would be the late 6th and early 5th century, Rome rose to incredible heights of power as a republic. It began as an elite class of wealthy patrician families represented in the Senate, but after a series of revolutions, the common man, or plebe as he was known, came to be represented in a council of plebes. And the Roman Republic lasted for over 500 years until slavery began to undercut the very foundations of the Roman Republic.

Well, then the English Civil War, as well as the 17th century, led by Oliver Cromwell, ushered in the English Republic. Now, dear listener, so much of what came from this period of our founding fathers incorporated into the American Constitutional Republic from the English Republic. And the English Bill of Rights, for example, though drawn up and adopted in 1689 under William and Mary, nevertheless, the English Bill of Rights were the product of the English Republic and the hard-won liberties gained there for the English people. And then, of course, there is the luminous example of the American Constitutional Republic.

Our experiment in liberty, if we include the early colonies, our experiment in liberty has been going on a pace now for over 420 years. No people in history has been freer, richer, and offered more opportunity to more people of every class, race, and standing than has the United States of America, a constitutional republic. These facts have been steadily forgotten, I submit to you, and done so purposefully over the last few decades in particular in order to end that experiment in liberty and return us, usher us into the norm of history that is slavery, the new American slavery.

The old American slavery was the race slavery of the 19th century, which was decisively ended by the Civil War. And this persistent fact of history that is that slavery was ended in America by the Civil War. This persistent fact is ignored by those of us being seduced back into slavery, back into the norm of history. American race slavery, as evil as it was, was ended in America by Americans. Oh, nevertheless, a Christian guilt complex is being resurrected like a macabre Frankenstein monster.

This Christian guilt complex to afflict the conscience of naive Americans. The self-loathing culture scolds in the progressive movement, usually stunningly ignorant of man's history with slavery. These self-loathing culture scolds are being used and manipulated by the new slave master to herd us into the new 21st century slave quarters. Those slave quarters are made up not of housing and fields and whips and chains, but rather this slave quarters is now a cyber world of digital currency and credit scores that are used to control your freedom of purchase.

This new slave quarters is the endless lockdowns justified by climate change and or the new manufactured pandemic du jour, whatever it might be. This new slave quarters in the 21st century is a massively restricted or constricted ability to travel freely. Have you noted the high gas prices or the collapse of the airline industry? All of this constriction of your ability to travel is only beginning or a pathetic dependency on masa, right?

The government for everything from what will soon pass for food to your massively expensive cubicle or cot in a FEMA camp, even right down to your utter irrelevance to your society as you languish unemployed or maybe become unemployable, eking out a mere existence on a guaranteed annual income, which itself is liable to cancellation if you misbehave, Mr. or Mrs. Slave. As we think of these things, let me remind you of those famous last words, it can't happen here. It can't happen here, right? Au contraire, dear listener, it is happening here already.

The new American slavery is being clamped down onto our figurative wrists and ankles like the chains of old, even as we speak. And that luminous shooting star of liberty that is the American Constitutional Republic may well have already reached its zenith in the sky of human history and is now descending back to the earth, to the earth known to humans for millennia, that earth being abject slavery. You may have, you may not have heard yet of the Great Reset. It has been trumpeted by the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab being the head, the president of the World Economic Forum, but it is now being rolled out, the Great Reset.

There is a Great Reset happening indeed, but the standard to which we are returning is not what is being promised. We are being promised a socialist paradise. We are being promised a modern, futuristic golden age. But that is not what our handlers, what our masters, slave masters have in mind for it. No, what is being clamped down upon us is the world of old, the norm of history.

And that is slavery for you and for me and for our children. And lest you persist in asserting that it can't happen here. Note with me, finally, number five, slavery has not been abolished. It thrives worldwide. Yes, slavery is thriving as never before in world history.

There are more people on the face of the globe and consequently more slaves on the face of the globe than ever before. Slavery has not been abolished. Rather, it thrives and it thrives worldwide, including the United States of America. Ah, dear listener, note this truth with me. Passing laws, merely writing and passing laws doesn't stop behavior.

It only says what a society thinks of that behavior and what it will do to anyone who commits that behavior. If this society that passes these laws has the collective will to enforce the law, this is doubly true of slavery. For example, amendments 13 and 14 to the American constitution ban slavery in the United States of America. Well, that ought to take care of it, right? No, if we do not have the will to enforce the law.

Lawbreakers will violate it on a regular basis. Additionally, endless volumes of federal, state, and local measures legislate against involuntary servitude and discrimination in its many forms. But all of this bluster and bravado on paper hasn't stopped the modern slave masters from practicing history's oldest and most profitable venture right here in the United States of America. America, that is slavery. The group, Exodus Road.

The Exodus Road is a group dedicated to identifying and eliminating modern slavery in the United States. And what they've estimated is that there were 403,000 slaves in America prior to the Biden administration, a number which has exponentially grown since the floodgates of our border have been opened by this administration. That's one of the consequences of open borders is that you get increased traffic in slavery. Now, it is impossible to estimate how many slaves have been trafficked into the country because it is difficult to estimate how many illegal immigrants have crossed our southern border. No one seems interested in these facts.

No, they are merely the rag doll, the slave population of America today is merely the rag doll being pulled apart by the rabid dogs of politics on the right and the left. Meanwhile, the slave masters, the global slave masters behind the scenes, people like the Mexican drug cartels, the paid off politicians on either side of the border, and the wealthy global elites who own them. Oh, they make untold billions of off the labor of these forgotten persons. Still the most profitable business in all the world, slavery. But where, you may ask, why?

I don't see it, you may say, and therefore it doesn't exist. Oh, well, Exodus wrote, puts it this way. They say, quote, You will see this. You just have to know where to look. In your child's school, working on your roof, in your favorite restaurant, in your grandmother's nursing home, or along the supply chain of that beautiful outfit you just bought at the mall.

Slavery exists all over America, and it's often hiding in plain sight. Unquote. A good, apt, succinct description of how slavery is indeed all around us. Just because you don't see people in chains and shackles being whipped and driven out into the cotton fields, just because you don't see this doesn't mean that there aren't slaves in America. No.

The chains and shackles coming down upon Americans are not always visible. They are the debt obligations, for example. The debt obligations owed to the cartels, maybe for coming into America, or the obligations to family back in one's country of origin, or just the plain feelings of despair of ever being or doing anything else than what a master tells them. Millions of slaves around the world are locked into the slave mentality, of which we spoke in greater detail last week. And the whips, the whips that forced the slave forward in his labor, they're not always visible either.

They're the threats and the terror of physical and mental violence and abuse. Those whips are the family members back home, virtually held hostage by the cartels or other governments to the labor of the slave here in the States. Those whips are the threats and rewards, too, of food or comfort or freedom held out or withdrawn, depending upon the compliance of the slave. It's a means of control. And the cotton fields of today, oh, those dreary, scorching cotton fields of today are not in the sweltering counties of the South.

No, they are the everyday work world in which we all move. Slaves clean your hotel room, wash the dishes and wait the tables of your favorite restaurant. They build your homes and roads and infrastructure. Also, tragically, modern day slaves are the vast numbers of faceless, nameless victims to sex trafficking by the cartels. And this sex trafficking includes men and women, boys and girls of every age and race and nationality.

Oh, so just keep in mind, dear listener, that worldwide constituting the norm for all of humanity. Note with me, there are an estimated 200,000 kids worldwide who are forced to be soldiers, child soldiers in a variety of armies and guerrilla groups or just plain outlaw marauder forces all over the world. Note with me as well, worldwide traffickers make an estimated $150 billion in profits every year. It still stands as the most profitable financial venture in all of human history, slavery. Note with me too, worldwide governments impose at least 10% of the world's slavery through labor camps and prisons and armed forces.

And note with me as well, the average cost worldwide for a slave is estimated to be as cheap as $90. $90 for a slave. Cheap, isn't it? The comparable cost of a slave in 1809, for example, was $40,000. Oh, this goes to demonstrate once again, dear listener, that life today is cheaper than ever before.

And it shows too in the death and disease and neglect and abuse of slaves worldwide. Dear listener, do not take comfort that we are making progress in human society, that slavery is a dusty remnant of the past. No, it is, has been, and always will be the norm of history. Slavery, the most profitable venture in history, unless we do something to stop it. And the first step in that process is being aware of just how swiftly and inevitably the chains and shackles are being metaphorically slapped upon all of us.

Your government doesn't love you, nor does it have your best interest at heart. No, it serves the interest of its paymasters, as government does, the global elite who only wish to secure their wealth and power by imposing a servitude upon us, whether that servitude is voluntary or involuntary. But there you will find several series of broadcasts which show the global elites in their own words, showing their plans for our global enslavement. The key for us is to deny them their global enslavement plans by creating alternatives to their systems, prosecuting them for their crimes against humanity. We can do things like build alternatives to their worthless fiat currency by using barter and cryptocurrency or old-fashioned silver and gold. We can do this by creating markets for local food production that do not rely on the system supply chain.

We can work to change local politics by running for and or supporting local neighbors as candidates for city councils and school boards and county boards. And then we can help indeed deny the global elites by knowing and supporting your local sheriff who is the most influential law enforcement officer in your life. And we can defeat the globalists by creating and supporting local doctors, for example, and clinics that do not participate in the meat grinder of big pharma and big med, seemingly obsessed with getting you sick and keeping you sick for their profit rather than healing you.

The key is to build alternatives to the slave system being built for us. Do it vigorously and forcefully. And above all, we must return to the God of our fathers, the God of the Bible, the God of our Savior, Jesus Christ. A thorough reformation of the life and spirit of individual Americans must obtain before we ever change or reform the society around us. Do you know Christ as your Lord and Savior?

This is the first step in being free of the shackles of slavery. Jesus himself said, if you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. That's the first liberty. The first liberty is spiritual liberty. If you are liberated from the bondage of sin and death in Jesus Christ, then you have secured that first liberty, spiritual liberty, and you will be prepared to extend that liberty all around you as the spiritual life begins to transform your physical and earthly life as well.

Your physical earthly life is, after all, downstream from the spiritual. This is what our forefathers did when they first arrived upon North American shores. They preached and secured spiritual liberty first, and then did they begin to extend that freedom to the world around them. Our enemies have precipitated an unstoppable force, dear listener, what they call a great reset. Indeed, a great reset will now obtain.

But it doesn't have to be of the evil character they intend. No, we must build a great reset to the exception of history, that is liberty and freedom in a Christian constitutional republic. The norm of history is slavery. The exception is liberty. Let us pray for and labor for an exceptional heritage, one of constitutional liberty under God.
