Greetings. This is Pastor David Bass at New Geneva Orthodox Presbyterian Church with a moment of truth where we challenge you to think through an important issue of life and faith. And today, I want to ask you, why is the pursuit of the so-called transgender agenda a perfect dead end for the human race? Transgender is a new word chosen by an old movement to describe a wide spectrum of manufactured fantasy identities which mask as human realities. In truth, there are and always have been two genders, despite what modern revisionists try to tell us.

I can't believe I'm dealing with this topic. Actually, to have to go over these basics again and again, if you'd told me 30 years ago that I would have to be explaining these things to our culture and our audience, I would have pinched myself and said, I'm dreaming. But here we are. Gender has always been based upon sex and sex upon biology. For example, sex is merely the chromosomic expression of double X or XY chromosomes.

That is female or male. That is sex, basically. We learned this in junior high biology, didn't we? And gender, then, is merely the cultural, physical expression of sex. And if there are two sexes, then there are indeed two genders, no matter what the revisionist try to tell us.

Now, the transgender argument is that while there are two biological sexes, and some try to make a significant issue of the hermaphrodite, which is a human with the reproductive organs of both male and female, but such a one is the rare exception and not the rule. Well, the transgender argument, then, is that while there are two biological sexes, gender is not static, but indeed can be quite fluid. That is changeable. Fluid gender is a buzzword, isn't it, today in our culture?

Well, to them, then, that fluidity means that while, for example, a man may be biologically sexed as a male, he may identify as a female with name or pronouns or express his gender in feminine ways, in various clothes or manners, for example. Well, transgender advocates rely heavily upon this gender expression argument. Sex in any given species expresses itself in bodies and behaviors, I submit to you. Just one example. Male cardinals, for example, are brilliant red and behaviorally prance about outside of the nest to distract and draw away from the nest various predators.

And the females are plain, dun-colored creatures who blend in with their surrounding and tend the nest when not gathering food for her chicks. Such distinguishing features between sexes are characteristic of all successful species species on Earth. And when it comes to the human species, we too express sex. That is, male or female. We express it in gender.

Males, characteristically, have larger upper body mass and are stronger, more aggressive in behaviors, which in the past has meant success in gathering food, defending the family and community, and building culture on behalf of the community. And the female, characteristically, has a more slender body mass, which is larger and rounder at the hips and breasts in order to accommodate the bearing of children. Her behaviors generally revolve around the home and hearth, nurturing the family. I can hardly believe I'm going over these things once again. I have to pinch myself and say we have to establish things again.

But yes, we do. Do we not in today's culture? So gender is thus expressed humanly in various cultural and societal markers. We know this. We absorb these markers and expressions as we grow up in our respective cultures, whether it's clothing or manners, inflections in our speech, even our names, nouns and pronouns, used in everyday conversation, even careers and jobs we are guided into.

There may be a host of gender expressions in any given culture or society, but what is consistent is that those hosts of gender expressions express characteristics of two sexes, male and female. This is the way it has been from the beginning and is the plan of God for the human species. As Genesis tells us, so God created man in his own image. In the image of God, he created him. Male and female, he created them.

That's from Genesis chapter 1. And as for gender expression, the Bible has clear rules. Listen to this principle, for example, that still applies today from the book of Deuteronomy chapter 22. There it says, a woman shall not wear a man's garment, nor shall a man put on a woman's cloak. For whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God.

Just a brief preview and review of some of the basics if we have to do this. And apparently in our day and time, it appears that we do have to do these things, cover this basic ground all over again. Now, these are biblical principles upon which we base Western culture and society. It cannot be any other way, lest we risk extinction as the human race and reach that dead end to which the evil one bids us, our opening premise. Indeed, is the pursuit of the so-called transgender agenda a perfect dead end for the human race?

And it is if we keep pursuing it. How can I be so certain of this? Well, let me make a couple of points with you. First of all, transgender is a new name for an old way of life. Oh, dear listener, if you only knew, transgender is a new name for an old way of life.

As Solomon puts it, there's nothing new under the sun. What seems so new and sensational to us, culturally innovative and trendy, is really an old satanic trick that has been around practically from the beginning. For example, the confusion of the human male and female goes back to pre-flood times. Genesis 6 tells us, when man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive and they took as their wives any they chose. Then the Lord said, my spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh.

His day shall be 120 years. The Nephilim were on the earth in those days. And also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown, unquote, from Genesis chapter 6, quoted quite extensively, because there we see ramifications for today. The sons of God in Genesis 6 were fallen angels who cohabited with human women and produced unnatural creatures who were neither strictly speaking human, male and female, but what the Bible calls Nephilim.

Satan's goal has always been to frustrate and circumvent and bring to naught the promise of the seed that would crush his head, the serpent's head. Remember that first mention of the gospel back in Genesis 3, when God said to the serpent, I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed, he shall bruise your head, you shall bruise his heel, unquote. The first prophecy of Christ. But by interjecting unnatural seed into the line of Adam, into the line of the woman, man would no longer be the creature in God's image, but something altogether strange and unnatural after any given number of generations had passed.

That was the goal. There could be no seed to crush the head of the serpent if that seed was for all intents and purposes the seed of the serpent. That's what Satan tried to do in the Nephilim. Well, other strategies more familiar to us were also employed to try and frustrate the line of humanity and make it obsolete and extinct. Now the men of Sodom were wicked, great sinners against the Lord.

Genesis chapter 13 tells us, yes, we're going there. Sodom and Gomorrah. The Bible tells us of the utter sexual debauchery and corruption of that generation by what they wanted to do to the men and angels that came to investigate Sodom, right? The text tells us in Genesis 18, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both young and old, all the people to the last man, surrounded the house and they called to Lot, where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them.

Ah, the evil transgenders. Now most commentators on this section of scripture assume that these are homosexuals, but that is not clearly stated. And as we will observe a little further on, the spectrum of corruption and debauchery was very wide in the ancient world, perhaps more extensive than even today. The genders in Sodom were as fluid amongst the men of Sodom as they are in modern America. What is significant to note is the same aggressive, hostile, violent nature of this transgender population.

The men of Sodom, as the text says, young and old, all the people to the last man. This transgender population would have raped and abused and killed these men had they gotten their hands on them? Have you observed this same entitled mentality among transgenders today? That the transgender community thinks that it is entitled to your children, to your wives, your church members, your school children. It is utterly consistent with the past and they are becoming today as violent and aggressive as the transgenders of Sodom.

But I want to ask a previous question, an even earlier question, and that is, is transgender even the proper term for the perverted phenomenon that we are witnessing today? I submit to you that transgender is not even the proper term to use. What we know as transgender is actually historically known as androgyne. Androgyne from androgynous. What we know as transgender is actually historically known as androgyne.

Authors, historians of literature especially go back and use this term for what we now call transgender. There are actually called androgynes from the term androgynous. The word androgynous is a compound word composed with roots in the Greek. Andros meaning man and gyna meaning woman. Androgyny, androgynous.

And an androgyne is an incoherent, indistinct creature with characteristics of both sexes. And our cultural controllers would like to project to you that what is happening is entirely new and never been done before. No. Finally, after eons of evolution, humanity is ready to burst its bonds of gender confines. Finally, after centuries of being suppressed, those unwilling to be confined in binary gender roles, they are now released from those bonds.

Oh, such is such as the soaring rhetoric of uniqueness. No, there's nothing unique about the transgender community. No, they are androgynes. Humanity is now free to fully express itself as it sees itself, right? Whether man, woman, non-binary, queer, gay, or bisexual, LBGTQ+.

Ah, but what no one is telling you is that this perversion has a long track record, and it is not good. The consequences of androgyne culture is destructive and demeaning. It ends in sterility and extinction. The Greek pantheon of gods is a good place to start. Historically, the Greek pantheon of gods, because these Greek gods personify humanity, they did in the pagan religion scheme, the pantheon of Greek gods.

For example, the Greek god Dionysius, who was the son of the god Zeus and the mortal Semele. Now, that's a story in and of itself. Dionysius was carried in the womb of Semele for a long time, but was aborted, and what the god Zeus did was sew Dionysius up in his thigh and finished gestating him. So, Dionysius ends up being a kind of mongrel creature, an androgyne for sure. And he is also then, Dionysius, the god of the grape harvest, winemaking, fertility, festivity, insanity.

That's a god to be known for, the god of insanity or ritual madness, and religious ecstasy. He had many devotees. And we can see some of the same madness in the androgynes of today's so-called transgender community. Well, Dionysius's devotees celebrated their rights in forests or in private estates, away from the gaze of others. They would dress in clothes of the opposite sex.

Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, right? Women especially were attracted to the Dionysian cult. And, as well, in ancient art, you see it in paintings and frescoes. Dionysius is often portrayed dressed as a woman in full makeup, beard and all. So, when you see images of him in ancient art, he was the first drag queen, if you will, of the ancient world.

So, this is not new, dear listener. Devotees' behavior in the Dionysian cult, their behavior and sexual acts were increasingly androgynous and violent, too, in expression. That's where we get some of the violence we see in that community today. In fact, the story is recounted of a stranger who happened upon one of their forest bacchanals. And the cult, they were all women at the time, in the height of religious ecstasy, tore the man limb from limb.

And the Roman Republic, in its days of strength anyway, saw the corrosive effect of such androgyne culture on the strong patriarchy that had built Rome. And consequently, Rome banned the Dionysian cult, and they took active steps to eliminate it. But it persisted, especially as the Roman Empire began to decay and all moral compass was lost. Oh, their days, so much like our days. Androgyne's, that is, the modern-day self-identified trans community, always makes its appearance at the destruction of, at the decline of a society and culture.

It happened in Rome. It happened in Greece. It's happening to us. This is the story of androgynes, transgenders, throughout history. Now, a very thoughtful and provocative book that still stands the test of time is won by a woman named Camille Paglia.

And the title of her book is Sexual Personae. And the subtitle is Art and Decadence from Nefertiti to Emily Dickinson, Sexual Personae. And as you can imagine, she does deal then with androgynes. And in her book, she chronicles the impact on art and culture that sex and its permutations have had through the centuries. And by doing so, she really chronicles Western culture through the eyes of the sexual forces that shape not only art, but all of who we are and how we express ourselves.

And one of her most luminous examples is how the English poet and artist William Blake portrays Satan as the ultimate androgyne. In William Blake's account of four zoas, one of his magnum opus works, if you've ever read Blake, his work for zoas. Paglia cites one passage in particular where she says, this Wagnerian passage is a great epiphany of the Dionysian androgyne. Once again, referencing Dionysius, Cothonian spasms give way to the monstrous deformity. Satan, swirling, swarming mobs, are a single writhing being.

Indeed, such was the nature of androgynes that William Blake could even posit that Satan was the ultimate androgyne. So androgynes, that is transgenders, are nothing new. They appear in force, especially at the end of a society's sway, as it is about the fall, that is. Androgynes are the end product of a decadent, dying culture. They are always, without exception, signs of a society's weakness, not its strength.

Paglia chronicles Rome's decadent decline, too. And she does so very graphically, far too graphically to quote here. But it is filled with the same kind of perversion and sin and corruption that we see among the LBGTQ plus community today. Yes, let's look briefly at Rome, shall we? The Emperor Nero, for example, is famous for his persecution of Christians, but we don't always know why he hated them so.

And one reason was that his sexual perversions were so extensive and sensational that just the mere existence of faithful Christian husbands and wives and the chaste behavior of believers outside of marriage, that was enough. It was a living rebuke to Nero's transgender androgyne lifestyle. That's even why they hate us today for the very same reasons. For example, Nero castrated a young boy who looked like his deceased wife. Oh, an early example of transgender surgery.

But he took this young boy who looked like his wife and castrated him and then dressed him in a wedding dress and married him. He had previously murdered the real wife, but in a moment of sentimentality saw this boy, had him castrated and put him in a wedding dress and married him. And then with another boy, he pretended to be the bride while the boy was the groom on their wedding night. Such were the perversions of Nero. Many, I can't even tell you over the radio.

Other Roman emperors in the latter days also set the pace for today's androgyne sickos. For example, the emperor Elagabalus, Elagabalus, look him up. That emperor was a raving transvestite, again an early drag queen, whose obsession led him to seek castration from which he was barely dissuaded by his advisors. In fact, once more, anticipating modern transition surgery, Elagabalus asked his court physicians if they could fashion a woman's vagina in his body by means of an incision, promising them vast sums of money if they could do so. Now, I'm just sampling these things from history, dear listener.

There were no limits in decadent Rome to an emperor and his court's behavior. They had the time, the resources, and the absence of moral restraint to do whatever entered their imagination. Camille Paglia puts it this way. She says there was no gap between wish and realization. Fantasy leapt into instant visibility.

An emperor's day was androgyny in action. An emperor's day was androgyny in action. What a revealing quote. And we know that in the latter days of the Roman Empire, it was true of the entire dark culture as well. Whether in the courts of the royal palace or the dark alleys of the squalid slums in Rome, whether in the temples of the plethora of gods and goddesses where ritual prostitution was had, or in the ecstatic orgies of Dionysian rites in the forests, whether in the private bedrooms or the public baths, we know that a citizen's day was androgyny in action as well.

It was true for all of collapsing Rome. Oh, and then we must also go on to cover a few other points, and we'll probably end up doing this next week. That is, for example, androgynes are by nature violent, hostile, and assertive in promoting their agenda. And androgynes are by definition sterile. And they must therefore recruit from and groom the offspring of breeders like us in order to perpetuate the next generation of androgynes.

Now, I will be covering these topics then further next week, but we must just insist again that wonder of wonders, we must be reviewing all of these things in order to get an understanding of precisely where we stand and what is right and what is true. Well, there are two sexes. God created man in his own image. In the image of God, he created him. Male and female, he created them.

And this has been the way it is and the way it always will be in truth. And God will bless us if we return to these basic standards. And we also observe the various laws and rules set for men and women for their genders. A man, a woman shall not wear a man's garment, right, from Deuteronomy, nor shall a man put on a woman's cloak. For whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God.

So, just understand, throughout history, there have been only two sexes, dear listener, by which the earth is filled and becomes fruitful. These two sexes express themselves in only two genders as well, consequently. And do not be confused otherwise. A boy dressed as a girl, talking like a girl, insisting stridently that he feels like a girl, and emotes like a girl, is still a boy. And a girl dressed as a boy, and talking like a boy, insisting stridently that she feels like a boy, and emotes like a boy, is still a girl.

Throughout history, whenever androgyny runs up against reality, it's always reality that wins. Let's hope that happens again. Androgyny is a dead-end project. It is sterile by definition. It cannot reproduce itself like biblical Christianity can.

It is parasitic on the host culture of breeders, who alone can supply them with the human fodder upon which they feed. So, we must reject transgenderism, androgyny, and crush it.
