Greetings. This is Pastor David Bass at New Geneva Orthodox Presbyterian Church with a moment of truth where we challenge you to think through an important issue of life and faith. And today, with the virtual obliteration of our national border on the South, are we justified in saying that we are bordering on extinction as a nation? That's a pun intended. Are we bordering on extinction as a nation?

Because by definition, a nation cannot exist without geographical borders to demarcate itself from surrounding people's places and nations. I can't believe that we have to state this. It's so obvious, but we do today. A border. The Oxford English Dictionaries defines a border simply as the boundary line, which separates one country from another.

Very simple and very historic, because historically, borders have been essential and beneficial to the integrity and very definition of a people, culture, and language. The Pyrenees Mountain Range, for example, forms a natural geographical border between France and Spain. The Mississippi River forms a natural boundary between Illinois and Iowa. James K. Polk won a presidential election in 1844 on the slogan 54-40 or fight, which meant that the United States' claim on the entire Oregon territory was worth fighting for.

Even the cliché crossing the Rubicon has a reference to borders in that Julius Caesar declared his intention to be master of Rome by crossing the border between the Roman Empire proper, which was the river Rubicon, and the frontier which lay beyond it. Well, there's no such thing as a nation without borders. The Bible especially makes this clear all the way back to Genesis chapter 10. Genesis chapter 10 delineates the 70 nations from which all the tribes, tongues, peoples, and nations derive from the sons of Noah.

Seventy nations are named, 70 being the number of fullness in the Scriptures, and they are not merely generalized either, but given very specific borders and geographical demarcations according to their, as Genesis puts it, lands, each with his own language, by their clans in their nations. These distinctions are reiterated throughout the chapter. The three sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, have their descendants listed according to their clans, their languages, their lands, and their nations. And the apostle Paul apparently was aware of this as well, this ordering of the nations after the flood.

He was aware of this in his sermon in the Europagus of Athens, when he pointed out that God, and I quote, made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods, and determined the boundaries of their dwelling place, unquote, from Acts chapter 17. Paul deduces three important facts from Genesis chapter 10, which it would be important for every Christian to keep in mind when pondering this question of borders, language, and culture, as Michael Savage has so presciently noted throughout his entire career. Borders, language, and culture, right?

Well, the apostle Paul also reflected on this topic, and the three things he deduces from Genesis chapter 10 are, number one, we all derive from one parent, and now approximately that is Noah. He is the patriarch who survived the great deluge with his three sons, but remotely it is also Adam, our very first parent, from whom even Noah derived. Secondly, what the apostle Paul deduced from Genesis chapter 10, number two, God ordains the rise and fall of nations. Periods of time are dominated by great nations and empires one or another, and they rise and fall according to God's will. That's the sense of God determining allotted periods.

And then the third thing that the apostle Paul deduces from Genesis chapter 10 is number three, God determines the boundaries of a people's dwelling place. God determines the boundaries of a people's dwelling place. Those boundaries are their borders, that is, the line which separates one country from another. And as Genesis 11 goes on to tell us, well, God determined that man would not be of one language, culture, and purpose. No.

Remember in Genesis chapter 11, God says, come, let us go down there and confuse their language so that they may not understand one another's speech, unquote. So the Lord dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city, from Genesis chapter 11. Rather, for the better disposition of grace and salvation, God has established diverse and distinct people's tongues and nations with their borders in order to keep mankind as diverse as necessary in order to more peacefully and coherently proclaim the gospel to discrete nations, one by one, and thus win the nations to the Lord Jesus Christ.

One language, people and nation would have arrogated to themselves the very heavens and God's throne if they could have. That is, nothing they propose to do will now be impossible for them, unquote, as Genesis 11 says of the Tower of Babel. Well, that the salvation of mankind is in the plan of God can be seen in these early chapters of Genesis, having recreated the heavens and the earth after the deluge of destruction, God set about singling out a man from the nations, from the line of Shem, in order to create a people for himself, salvation. And that man, of course, was Abraham, who himself would be the father of many nations.

In fact, God promised him, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed, unquote. Indeed, all the nations of the earth have been blessed in the one man, Jesus Christ, a son of Abraham, the son of David. And he himself is busy about gathering up people for himself, even now, from among the nations to make into one people, his body, the church. In fact, our command is to conquer the nations. The Great Commission, Matthew chapter 28, our Lord says, all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always to the end of the age, unquote. And as well, in Mark, the text says, our Lord says, go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And of course, in Revelation, what do we see but the great scene in heaven before the throne?

We see John saying, after this, I looked and behold, a great multitude that no one could number from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes with palm branches in their hands, unquote, from the book of Revelation. What glorious future we have. There is a nation, dear listener, there is a nation being built, which has no borders. It is Christ's church. And there will be no other universal people.

Understand this. There will be no other universal people, no other comprehensive, all-inclusive nation other than Christ's church. The apostle Peter puts it this way in speaking of Christ's church. He says in 1 Peter chapter 2, but you, speaking to Christians, speaking to the church, he says, but you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light, unquote.

Any other project, dear listener, to bring a one world government or make of the whole human race one united nation is not only doomed to failure and destruction, but it is by definition evil and anti-Christ. Genesis 11 is the template for all subsequent grasps after world government and a one people, one language human race. Satan has not given up his aspiration for a tower of Babel in which all of humanity is united under one language and one human project. That is an assault upon the throne of God, building a tower that reaches unto heaven itself.

Oh, and I would suggest that that dream is alive and well still in our world today and embraced by progressives around the world. In fact, did you know that the Tower of Babel has its own national anthem? It does, its own national anthem. It's Imagine by John Lennon. Have you ever heard that song and how it indeed aspires to all of the principles of the Tower of Babel?

You know its lyrics. For example, imagine there is no heaven. It's easy if you try. No hell below us, above us only sky. Imagine all the people living for today.

Imagine there's no countries. Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. Right here we have the Tower of Babel. Lennon goes on, he says, imagine there are, there's no countries. It isn't hard to do.

Nothing to kill or die for. And no religion, too. Imagine all the people living life in peace. Imagine no possessions, he goes on to say. I wonder if you can.

No need for greed or hunger. A brotherhood of man. Imagine all the people sharing all the world. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us and the world will be as one.

Oh, kind of brings a tear to my eye. Oh, a tear of pain. This is, of course, insipid, maudlin claptrap. But these kinds of sentiments, and that's what they are, these kinds of sentiments are being used to justify an agenda which is, in the end, tyranny. The feeling that we can imagine there's no countries, nothing to kill or die for, and no religion to?

Well, this is often used even today for the border dispute, even the border dispute. But before we expose the strategy for tyranny being used to enslave us in this argument, we must first have a clear idea as to precisely why there must be a tapestry of people's languages and cultures, a variety, and nations with clearly demarcated borders before our Lord returns to redeem all of creation. Number one, four I would like to articulate for you, why is there people's languages, cultures, and borders? Ah, number one, borders give extent and definition to a people with a shared language, culture, and ethnicity.

Yes, borders give extent and definition to a people having a shared language, culture, and ethnicity. Borders have been aptly likened to a kind of cell membrane that regulates what goes in and comes out of the cell in the normal course of its life cycle. When a nation knows itself, it's important, when a nation knows itself, why it must be taught history and its values, right? When a nation knows itself and seeks to preserve itself, it admits into its body proper that which will nourish and benefit the whole body politic, and it rejects that which is toxic to its well-being.

For example, a constitutional republic will receive those who desire to support it and seek to contribute their skills and their gifts for the betterment of that republic and their own prosperity too as well. And a constitutional republic will reject a Marxist, for example, for whom a constitutional republic is an enemy which they seek on principle to destroy. Such a person, a Marxist, would no more be admitted to a healthy republic than a healthy cell would admit a cancer cell through its border, that is the cell membrane. So, I say deport all Marxists.

Also, a constitutional republic would receive military-aged men in their borders who wished to serve in the armed forces of that republic to defend it in exchange for citizenship, for example. But that same constitutional republic would reject an invading army or those who clandestinely enter in order to overthrow that republic by force. So, I say deport all Chinese soldiers and cartel gang members from the United States. Deport them. They are enemy soldiers against America.

Also, a constitutional republic or any sane nation would receive into its population healthy, mentally stable persons who have a particular skill or gift and want to become productive law-abiding citizens. And that same republic would reject the sick, the diseased, the mentally insane, the mentally insane, and the morally bankrupt leech who only wants to get something for nothing. So, deport the sick, the insane, the criminal human refuse being dumped on our borders. National borders do these things.

In the modern world, no nation can claim to be a people with a shared language, culture, and ethnicity without physical borders to regulate the access and egress of those who either wish to benefit that nation or destroy it. This may seem quite simple and basic, but as I look around me, there is evidence that we have neither the national will nor the leadership who is able to do these essential things. In fact, the leadership in particular is collaborating with the enemies of constitutional republics to destroy it and create something else. More on that in the future. Number two, number two, why we need strong, clearly demarcated borders.

Number two, nations defined by borders proves a fail-safe for the human race. Borders prove a fail-safe for the human race when they're effective, when they're clearly marked and demarcated. Yes, this is a practicality that has been observed by historians from the earliest mists of time. Borders prove a fail-safe for the human race. When something goes really wrong in one country and it dies or is severely set back or degraded, other countries, not subject to what happened to them, go on and perhaps thrive and prosper.

As the apostle Paul puts it, God, having determined allotted periods for nations and peoples, when there are discrete nations and peoples with borders to protect their integrity, they are able to step in and ensure the survival of the race of mankind. In the Bible, for example, under Joseph, Egypt was one nation that prepared for seven years of want by storing grain during seven years of plenty. No one else in the then known world did this. And what would have happened if Egypt had been just another cog in the wheel of one big world system, huh?

Well, also, the evil demonic civilization of the Aztecs was dying at the arrival of the conquistadors in the 16th century. Oh, the Aztecs were practicing idolatry, human sacrifice, cannibalism, and ravaging sickness and disease was destroying a once-proud people. Only the intervention of religion and culture from Europe saved any remnant of them from total annihilation. What would have happened if Aztec culture was world culture, huh? Oh, yes, borders prove a fail-safe for the human race.

Also, in A.D. 452, Attila the Hun swept into Italy with his barbarian hordes, hordes which would soon decay, die, and fade away into the eastern mist. But for the present, all the Huns seemed unbeatable, destined to conquer. But on meeting Pope Leo the Great on a hill outside of Rome, where, indeed, the great Pope Leo was unarmed, humble, and gracious. Attila turned around and went home. Why?

He said, Attila himself said, that above and around Leo he saw the glorious persons of Peter and Paul, and Attila knew then who was stronger and who was destined to conquer. Oh, the bloody, murderous culture of the Huns perished swiftly from the world. What would have happened to the human race if we were one big barbarian horde? Fail-safe, indeed. Yes, it is that borders and discrete nations prove a fail-safe for the human race.

Thirdly, why we need strong borders. Number three, nations defined by borders, nourish and enrich all of humanity with variety. God has made humanity in great variety, and it's all to his glory and our good. And borders protect that variety. Oh, just thinking about food, I'm getting hungry here.

I love borscht, and I love German spazzo. But if the Germans had overrun Italy and supplanted its culture, as they tried to do several times, well, then I wouldn't have Italian pasta and cioppino. Oh, I love French collared shirts. I think Japanese cars are some of the best, most reliable on the market. And language, how beautiful are the variety of languages in the world.

Oh, one of my favorite sayings taught to me by my Greek professor is, I speak to my broker in English. I speak to God in Spanish. I speak to my chef in French. I speak to my lover in Italian. And I speak to my dog in German.

Oh, the variety of cultures that borders help protect. Borders also help protect racial diversity. Yes, racial diversity is good, but not to the discrimination against and superiority of one over the other. Let me qualify that in the first place. The European Union, for example, is deliberately striving to bring to extinction the Nordic races by flooding the borders of Norway, Sweden, and Finland with immigrants from the Islamic East.

That is primarily from Pakistan and Syria and North Africa. Already, 10% of Sweden is Muslim and 7% of Norway. As one Muslim cleric in Stockholm put it quite plainly, he said, we will outbreed the blue-eyed devils into extinction. There it goes. Racial diversity, right?

And of course, in our own country, the movement to abolish whiteness. You've heard about this, right? The movement to abolish whiteness is but a recent iteration of this self-loathing trendiness. We, of the blue-eyed, blonde-haired, white-skinned race, oh, we should all hang our heads in shame over our past and go quietly away and die and let black and brown-skinned peoples dominate as they ostensibly should. They're more righteous and virtuous, of course.

Ah, dear listener, this kind of talk and this kind of thinking is evil and foolish. The borders of Norway, Sweden, and Finland help to demarcate ancient glorious cultures and traditions from which the world has benefited for centuries and will continue to benefit if these peoples and nations wake up and take back their heritage. Hold the line on your borders if it's not too late. Well, the fourth reason we need strong borders. Number four, nations defined by borders glorify the God who made them.

Yes. Ultimately, borders glorify God. After all, as Paul tells us in that sermon to the Athenians, God determined historical dynasties and the boundaries and borders of dwelling places for the purpose that, he says, they should seek God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him, unquote. In God's plan, he's determined that he will be found within nations, bounded and defined by borders within which a people of a particular language and culture exist. God, the creator of nations and cultures, transcends them all, and he can be found in any national context.

That's demonstrated plainly in the world today, and that Christ's church can be found on every continent, country, and colony on the face of the earth. And where he is not yet known or preached, he soon will be. We have borders today because God has ordained nations, plural nations, to guarantee that humanity will not agglomerate as one in defiance of and at war with the God who created them. One will follow the other.

Make no mistake, dear listener, the world as one nation will assault heaven itself via a tower of Babel as united rebels, and it will be to their own doom and destruction, and consequently, for their own good, that they might seek God and find him, as Paul says. The human race is divided into discrete nations with boundaries to their dwelling places that the gospel might reach them in due time.

Consequently, if we in the United States of America have any common sense at all remaining within our borders, we will protect the integrity of our borders because we respect the integrity of who we are as a discrete nation, separate from other nations of the world. If we know ourselves, dear listener, and teach our history, if we know ourselves and hope to protect what we have and cherish, we will not only build walls, strong, secure, impenetrable walls at our borders, but our entire national ethos will have figurative walls so that we can intelligently admit, friend, and eliminate foe on the borders of our national identity as well.

Oh, yes. Well, dear listener, we have only begun to address this existential issue of borders. That is, whether we allow access and egress at our point of entry with discernment and wisdom, or whether we are doing as we are presently doing, like naive fools, allow indiscriminate access and egress to our own destruction, bordering on extinction. Make no mistake, dear listener, there are enemies of the United States, even within our own borders, that seek to destroy what America is essentially. That is a Christian constitutional republic that is being sought to be revamped and destroyed and slaves made of us all.

And much of it is occurring in and through our borders. Will we allow that to happen? Will we allow access and egress at our point of entry with discernment and wisdom and strength? Or will we, like we're doing now, like naive fools, allow indiscriminate access and egress, and it will be to our own destruction, bordering on extinction? May we instead prosper and thrive, as Paul says, seeking God and perhaps feeling our way toward him and find him.
