Greetings. This is Pastor David Bass at New Geneva Orthodox Presbyterian Church with a moment of truth where we challenge you to think through an important issue of life and faith. Today, after having determined the evil in our land last week in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk's assassination, which has been on the mind of Americans across the country these last few weeks, well then, how are we to respond to real evil as biblical Christians?

There is real evil afoot in our land, and we're seeing a greater and greater polarization in our country between those who stand for biblical righteousness and biblical good, and those who are in the grasp of, in the clasp, if you will, of evil and the evil one. And now, it is impossible to overstate the height, length, depth, breadth of evil in our land around us today, and I think Charlie's assassination has just illustrated that for us.

There are periods in redemptive history when evil is ubiquitous, as in the days of Noah, where the Bible says, the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to the heart. We are swiftly moving to such a state of affairs in our world. Well, how do we know this? Is this not just sensationalism, Pastor?

How can we be sure that we're not just being caught up in emotional hysteria, having lost a beloved advocate of our cause from our team when we lost Charlie? Well, we know that our judgments are true because we know evil when we see it. Remember from last week, dear listener, the big three characteristics of evil. First, evil is the sworn enemy of God and the good. It implacably opposes the good at every turn, and that opposition has a name.

The Hebrew word for adversary, for adversary is Satan. Oh, secondly, we know as well that evil is a bloodthirsty murderer. It loves the shedding of blood. We saw this last week. It kills God's creatures wherever and whenever possible, especially the human creature.

And then thirdly, evil is a liar. Oh, it seeks to pretend and to deceive and to mislead mankind. Well, where all of these exist in human behavior, there you find evil. And we see plenty of it around us, and yea, even in the death of Charlie Kirk. But it is important to see evil in its larger context, too.

And the question now becomes, what are we to do with the evil people that we find among us? Well, there are three things that we must do, three action points that every Christian must do, and we must get off of our derrières and go about accomplishing them. And number one is, the church must lead the spiritual war against evil. The church must be in the front lines of the spiritual war against evil. Now, as we have insisted on nauseam from the very beginning, our warfare is first and foremost a spiritual battle, dear listener.

The Apostle Paul tells us in Ephesians chapter 6, he says, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places, unquote. Ah, we can no more ignore the spiritual component of this warfare, dear listener, than a land army can ignore modern air power. When the Allies swept the Luftwaffe from the skies before the Normandy invasion in World War II, we controlled the airspace over the beaches, and we were successful.

When Saddam Hussein's army could do nothing to counter the United States air dominance in the Gulf War over Kuwait. Well, Hussein's tanks and army were sitting ducks, and they got annihilated. The same can be said for us if we do not defeat the spiritual forces arrayed against us in the heavens. We will be annihilated. We human beings are the only creatures in all of creation that straddle two worlds, the physical and the spiritual.

We live in both realms simultaneously, and if we continue to see any one of us, any human being, as only a physical creature, we are ignoring the whole other half of him. And that is dangerous with our enemies and tragic for our friends and loved ones. We must recognize the demonic forces at work in the enemy, and we must also cherish and nourish the Spirit of Christ Christ in our brothers and sisters in the church. Right now, there are spiritual forces at work in the hearts and lives of men and women everywhere, many of them of the evil variety. Do you recognize the signs in a person's life?

You need to be spiritually sensitive to these things. We increasingly inhabit a polarized world where the contrast between good and evil becomes clearer and clearer, and this trend will only increase. The advantage is that it will become easier to recognize those under the evil sway of evil and those in the power of Christ and the Holy Spirit. But what that requires is a mobilized church that knows what it is up against, and so several preconditions need to be met before we are able to war effectively against our adversary, the devil, who prowls around like a lion seeking whom he may devour.

First of all, one of those preconditions is there must be a nationwide revival and reformation of the church. This is absolutely fundamental. The hearts of everyone must be brought to Jesus Christ as Savior, as step one. There is no victory to be had on the spiritual battlefield until there is spiritual life in the warrior. In order to do battle in the Spirit, he must be alive in the Spirit.

But mere spiritual life is not enough. There must be a reformation of the church and its life in the community. We must transform our living and our world, no more trifling with personal sin in our lives. We must rather aspire to live holy lives in accordance with our calling. And we must become active, participating members in our local churches.

There will be no triumph over evil, doing it alone, but only as we stand arm in arm, as we march arm in arm, relying upon one another. The church must understand this maxim, as goes the church, so goes the nation. Our founding fathers said this, as goes the church, so goes the nation. America will only rise to the level of the church. That is why we must reform her first.

And secondly, the second precondition for our spiritual warfare is, since our warfare is primarily spiritual, we must deploy our spiritual gifts. You must be active. First and foremost, here in this regard is prayer. Ah, we often talk about and commend the prayer warrior, and rightly so. The archangel Michael told Daniel that he had come to him, battling with the angelic prince of Persia to get to him, because Daniel's prayers had been heard.

Over and over again, the Bible reveals victory over dark spiritual forces is had because of the prayers of the saints. Christian, do not underestimate the power of this spiritual weapon. We must also avail ourselves of other spiritual gifts. Some saints have the gift of discernment whereby the presence identities and names of spiritual entities can be ascertained. And the ancient practice of exorcism will increasingly be needed as demonic influence and possession becomes more evidently rampant.

And importantly, too, pastors must be ready to deal frankly and unapologetically with this area and preach and teach on it. The coming battle with evil requires all hands on deck, and the pastor, as shepherd of the flock, has the duty to protect it from evil wolves who would prey upon it. The third precondition that must be had in our spiritual warfare is that the church must be ready to enter the larger world with power. Oh, dear listener, the church has for too long been in the cultural wilderness in America.

Charlie Kirk understood this, and he was helping to drag us out by the hair sometimes, figuratively speaking, to lead us out of that wilderness. Ever since modernity shamed Christianity back in the 20th century with the triumph of evolution and its theories and the embarrassment of the Scopes monkey trial, for example, I have a whole lecture on that, period. Well, since then, the church has been in retreat when it comes to culture, politics, and society. As one of my favorite preachers put it, he was wrong on this, but J. Vernon McGee would say time and again, we should not soil the garments of the gospel with politics and culture.

That was one of his favorite sayings. But he was wrong. That kind of thinking must end. Evil would like nothing better than for the church to play in its own little church sandbox and leave the rest of the world to the devil. No, we must take Jesus at his word when he promised that when the church presses her attack, the gates of hell shall not prevail against it, he said.

Oh, evil will not be defeated in America without a clear-eyed, militant, spiritually prepared church. This is the sine qua non, without which victory will not be had. We must grow up here, be ready to do battle in the real world again as the church has in history. Do you want America to descend into a demonic cesspool like Haiti or India or Venezuela? Well, then do not minimize or diminish the importance of the church, dear listener.

It is, after all, Christ's body, that living spiritual organism through which Christ will triumph over the forces of evil. Well, secondly, the second thing we must be about and be active doing is, culturally, we must reclaim lost territory, and we must call evil for what it is in the culture. Evil is evil. We must win the cultural war that will most certainly ensue when the forces of evil begin to meet resistance, serious resistance from us in the arts, sciences, and institutions of our culture. Charlie Kirk understood this, didn't he?

And he was aggressively taking back that lost territory on university campuses, for example. In fact, it was on the campus of Utah Valley University that the evil forces of the satanic system got him shot. It's also true that culture is downstream from religion. The religious principle of a culture, the religious principles, plural of a culture, or the lack of them, will determine the shape and direction of that culture. Let me reiterate, the church must not be shy about entering the fray.

We must acknowledge, for example, that we are in an information war with the voice of evil. For centuries now, that evil voice has understood how the human mind and heart is shaped by sources of information in entertainment and education and news broadcasting. The devil has been tireless in taking them over. So, we must do things like consciously create and sustain honest, forthright news sources that creatively teach biblical principles and communicate information that squares with the truth. We already know that the mainstream media is a dead, lying hulk on its last gasps of wheezing breath.

Gallup recently polled Americans and found trust in the mainstream media. Outlets like CBS, NBC, ABC, NPR, CNN, and the rest of the traditional media we have come to loath and distressed. That approval rating hovers around 30 percent from a high of over 75 percent in the 70s. I'm surprised the number is still that high, 30 percent. Other results place that trust level in the teens.

Ah, the proliferation of social media, on the other hand, and independent voices, creative outlets, has transformed how we consume information. And as Christians, we need to fill the void, take the lead in bringing the truth of our world to hearts that are eager to hear the truth. And then we must also cultivate, in this cultural area, we must also cultivate and husband the arts. Oh, in this regard, dear listener, Hollywood is dead, isn't it? Hollywood is dead.

Amen. How satanic it has become over the decades. The new Transformer movie, for example, has as its main characters demons from the pit of hell. Molech and Lilith are straight out of the panoply of witches and demons of the ancient past. But thankfully, no one is watching.

Movies like Snow White or Alice in Wonderland, the Transformers, they are DEI to their core, but they bomb at the box office. All of the arts, too, dear listener, not just entertainment, must be brought under the creative touch of Christ and his church. It was, after all, the church that commissioned and cultivated the art that dominated and defined the Western world and arguably the whole world culture of world culture for centuries. Music, painting, literature can once again become great under the inspiration of God's Spirit in man.

Now, if you want a definitive tutorial on how the church inspired the arts throughout the centuries, oh, just reference almost any of the films made by Dr. Francis Schaeffer. I highly commend them to you. The films of Dr. Francis Schaeffer, they can still be found online. And they hearken back to the 70s, those films, but they're still worth screening today. And they tell the story of how the church virtually invented culture through the centuries, through her art and sustaining of the arts.

Even architecture, now taken by the demonic as well, can be reformed. Even architecture. Have you seen photos of Barack Obama's presidential library, for example? Google it. It is a hideous, windowless, graceless monolith that could have come right out of Mordor, the palace of Sauron, indeed.

Perhaps it was designed by someone in the Bureau of Prisons. It will certainly fit right in with their structures. And on a side note, is in complete harmony with Obama's character and presidency, is his presidential library. It is possible to recall the real power and grace of the medieval cathedral, for example, or the Roman forum complex. Oh, visit the great medieval cathedrals in Europe, and you'll see how it took generations to build just one of them.

But it took the resources of the whole community, and it was dedicated to God, these beautiful structures that still endure. And once more, Francis Schaeffer does a marvelous job of documenting these truths. At the end of the day, we can say that architecture speaks of what we worship. It does. It is theology.

Architecture is theology in stone, glass, and steel. Well, we must also then create alternatives in our culture. Create alternatives in our culture to the bestial school systems. Oh, we could have an entire broadcast dedicated just to this. The beast now teaches your children in public schools and places of higher education.

With transgenderism as their social model and Marxist socialism as the curriculum, the capture of your children is complete. And we can say the public school is now, if not the synagogue of Satan, then certainly the schoolhouse of Satan. The universities as well have been captured institutions for generations now, and Charlie Kirk made the university campus one of his favorite venues, didn't he? Trying to reclaim. I have spoken extensively on this topic before, and I'll not spend a lot of time on it except to continue to encourage you to homeschool your children, perhaps, or help create Christian schools to educate your children.

Do you see the face of Satan in our culture, dear listener? It is there, the face of Satan, glimmering through, from the prancing demons in the halftime shows in the Super Bowl, to the death mask painted on the faces of Hollywood, to the twisted gnomes hissing at abortion rallies? Increasingly, Satan and his own are manifesting themselves as they gain boldness and power in our culture, and they must be met and stopped. We must not flinch from our cultural calling in this, but that is not all, dear listener, because thirdly, the third effort we must make is to punish evil to the full extent of the law.

Punish evil and the evildoers to the full extent of the law. We must be prepared to punish without flinching the evil behavior in our society. This is one place where we as Christians seem to hesitate to move.

Unless we do, we will see the evil forces in our nation continue to use the institutions of law and order and government to wage lawfare against President Trump, for example, and eventually all of us, they're just going through him to get to us, and to punish parents at school board meetings, for example, for insisting on righteous schools, to jail peaceful protesters and kill patriots like Ashley Babbitt, who were shot by a police officer at the January 6th Capitol protest in 2021, and most importantly, they will continue to impose a panopticon AI system of tyranny upon all of us, and that is perhaps the most dangerous and most pressing threat to all of us.

So, what I find is that most well-meaning Americans tend to project their good intentions and their benevolent spirit onto others, especially those who govern us. But in the case of our current governing institutions, that is fatal. If you continue to think that your government has your best interests and your well-being in mind, then you are out of your mind. I will not try to persuade you of this basic premise, if you don't believe it already, that your government is a parasite that has now metastasized to threaten the very life of its host, the people.

If you do not already see this, then I will not persuade it of you here in these last few minutes, but it may be well too late by the time you do see it. We must rather use the institutions of government as best we can while we can. The indictment of James Comey, for example, is a meager but constructive start. The evil men and women in our country must be held accountable, and that goes for the killers of Charlie Kirk, for that matter. There are still numerous questions surrounding his death that have not been answered, but the evidence is mounting that perhaps there was more to the story than one disturbed lone wolf shooter.

And we must cast our net wider. Thousands of evil men and women must be held to account. For example, the traffickers and abusers of the some 350,000 plus children smuggled across the border under the Biden administration. They were used in sex exploitation and as slave labor across the country, and they still are being used. Slavery has never been more prevalent than in our day.

And such evil people that enslave must be jailed and in some cases, excuse me, executed. The participants in the Luciferian cults that are springing up like weeds across the country must be held to account and punished. These too use and abuse children and have them as prime objects of blood rituals. Also, those actively and quite self-consciously working for a Marxist revolution in America and committing treason against the Constitution, these offenses are punishable by death, and those who do them must be held to account. This has been a sustained, sustained, excuse me, conspiracy for decades now, and we know who the principles are.

The riots in our major cities over ice arrest, for example, is only the tip of the Marxist iceberg. Now, I have my own top 10 to be held on trial for capital offenses. If that day ever comes, I have my own top 10 to be held on trial for capital offenses. Number one, Barack Obama. Number two, Joe Biden.

These two presidents have been prime suspects. Hillary Clinton, James Comey, former FBI director, James Clapper, John Brennan, CIA, Alexander Mayorkas, HHS, who smuggled all those children across the border, threw open the doors of our border, Susan Rice, General Milley, who committed treason, Merrick Garland, as well, former attorney general, American attorney general, all 10 of these. Now, I understand that the system as it is presently constituted is rigged against most of these traitors ever being indicted, much less convicted. So I have another solution. That is, if we can hold Congress and the White House.

First, Congress has the power to establish inferior courts to the Supreme Court. Therefore, create tribunals along the lines of the Nuremberg tribunals used after World War II to try Nazi criminals. They would be special courts, independent of the present corrupt courts, and then also establish special prosecutors under the executive branch to bring charges and prosecute these criminals in these courts. Now, so far, even under Trump, the Department of Justice had proved weak and ineffective in holding these, continuing to practice evil to account. So we need to find a radical alternative.

Purge the evil from your midst, as the Lord told Israel, purge the evil from your midst. So until we understand the width, length, depth, and height of evil's permeation into our land, we will continue to be overcome by it. We need to stand against it, the church leading the way, and we must be relentless, and we must be strengthened for the battle ahead. That battle against evil in the spiritual realm, as well as the physical, will not be easy, and it will not be quickly accomplished either. It has taken generations for us to reach this point, as we have benignly let evil have its way.

That's taken generations to happen, and so it will be generations, perhaps, until we achieve a measure of victory and establish righteousness in the land, even as our founding fathers had designed only a righteous and ethical people. This constitution, as James, or as John Adams put it, this constitution is designed only for a moral and ethical people, and that moral and ethics, of course, was based securely on the Bible and the righteousness that it propagates. May God assist us in our labors as we seek to defeat the evil that killed Charlie Kirk, and will kill all of us if we let it.
