About

You know you have found your calling in life when you look for more and more ways to do it.

Reverend David Bass has been telling the world (ok, not the whole world, but anyone who gets within ear-shot) about the gospel of Jesus Christ since 1989! His pastoral duties take up more than 50 hours per week, but he loves the opportunity to reach people like you here on this podcast.

The good news of the gospel is the most important truth to share.

David’s wife, Debora Bass, has been by his side for 40 years. She brings a softness to his edge, a smile to his face, and children to his world.

When David is not in the church or his study, he is hard at work on their family farm. There are goats to milk, wood to split, fences to mend, and stalls to muck.

Reverend Bass jumped at the opportunity to move from the greater Chicago area to Idaho Falls in 1995 and has never looked back. His love for this community fills every task his hands touch.

His heart, mind, and soul are at home in Eastern Idaho until God calls him home to eternity.

David’s resume includes a Master of Divinity and Master of Theology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. While these degrees are impressive, his most valuable credential is his faith made visible in his preaching and teaching.

David Bass is not interested in bending a knee to the masses.

He is interested in honoring God first, country second. He values truth, history, and tradition: pillars of the conservative Christian community.

David Bass is unafraid, unapologetic, and unfiltered.

You are invited to hear his preaching and teaching in person at New Geneva Orthodox Presbyterian Church every Sunday morning at 10am. They are located at 101 4th St, Idaho Falls, ID 83401.
